Greetings fellow Zevism. Sometimes i check this page that lists some of the authors that were banned by the Nationalsocialist Party. I noticed that it was recently edited. Last time that i checked, they've removed authors such as Lev Tolstoj and Victor Hugo, and added some others to the list. While it makes sense that they added xian authors such as G. K. Chesterton, J. R. R. Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, Erasmus and John Henry Newman, i don't get why they've added in the list Socrates, Plato and Aristotle. They've also recently added Orwell to the list.

Also, i don't get why this other page claims that the Nazis would go that far by prohibiting Oliver Twist and Ivanhoe for featuring jewish characters, despite the fact that the authors hated them.

Are those lists a bit corrupted or they are actually accurate? Thanks for your attention.

I wouldn’t put too much stock in these lists, personally. But to better understand why Plato/Socrates would be on the list, you should read Twilight of The Idols by Nietzsche or look up a summary of his opinion on Socrates (Plato by extension), which if I remember, he believed to be a prototype of the Christ like self-sacrificial archetype. He explains it way better than I could.
