I recently got a friend that I've known for a couple of years open up to me and tell me he is wiccan, and has been for some time. he knows i am satanic and doesn't think much about it and we both agree not to speak of our religions to others. but yeah, he told me the other night he felt a spirit physically touch him and make him uncomfortable, he felt something grabbing his leg. what could be explanations for this, he says he thinks it was a demon and I didn't think so.

It doesn't just from this sound like a demon, however it's hardly a large quantity of information being provided here.  If you really want to help you would need a lot more than just "something grabbed my leg".  There isn't much anyone can do without more information.
