What I will ask about now is the thing that is confusing to me the most. I think this is sensitive.
Please, Mod, kindly check if this complies with the rules. I did my best to refine it to ensure it is appropriate. Thank you, and feel free to reject it if necessary.
The spiritual powers are real. The Gods are real.
While advancing, my confidence [in myself, how powerful I can become, and in the Gods], is increasing, of course. And that is normal.
When thinking of that and realising it, I start being grateful. Then I start mentally worrying about the following:
Many people in history who had immense spiritual powers, and who were with the Gods, did triumph and win multiple battles. This part is all good, even if it contains hardships and setbacks.
What worries me is what I will say next. I will take two examples since they seem to be the most extreme. Let’s take the example of a General:
He won multiple wars, glorified the Gods, achieved high spiritual powers, performed his duty. All good.
Then, at his last war, he ends up captured and tortured.
During the torture—which is extreme, of course—let’s take that scene.
The question is: how come a person who is verified to have strong spiritual powers ends up in this situation? How did fate take that turn? Why had he almost faced death before and gotten away with it, but this time it seems he cannot get out of it? How come his aura and visualisations, and all of it, could not get him out of this situation, and he ends up dead? Also, during this, how does he view it? And in that specific moment, is he in a weaker version? Or is he the same strong person, but he is just facing something he cannot not face?
How can a Zevist navigate an extreme situation like this? To be honest, occasionally during my life I have always questioned myself on this. I always took this torture example since it seems it is the most extreme, and thought about how those people thought in those moments. Did they see it just as an event they should go through, or did they fail?
The same with healers who miraculously healed themselves before and are confirmed for healing others for years. And then a day comes when they get ill, and they just do not heal themselves. Why, at that specific moment, do the spiritual powers not come into play? Why had they always worked during their entire life, and now it seems it must happen?
Let’s take an example of a king who is with the Gods and is rich and spiritually powerful, and he ends up a beggar. How can that happen, and how come he could defend his position for years, and now he cannot even get enough money for shelter?
What is the reason behind those moments that a spiritually advanced person seems not able to get away with? The irony is some seem to just take those moments as if they do not seek to get away with it. But why and how? What is happening in those situations?
I have always asked myself that. And once I searched, and I found out some philosophies claim that we are entitled only for the actions, and that the results are not ours. That seems extreme, especially when one tastes the ability of choosing a different fate.
Since it looks so bad when a person is so spiritually advanced and then ends up in some situation like this... Also, does the situation diminish him? How do the Gods view him in those situations? And what is his 'real' worth in those situations?
Also, some in history have put themselves in those situations, even when they clearly had the option not to, and this is even more weird. Is this spiritual? Or is it purely a mistake? Or is it just a choice? And what if the person ends up doomed because of that?
Let’s say a general losing a battle, has the option to flee yet choose to fight until losing his life there. What causes this ? Did the Gods intervene giving him that conviction ? Is it somehow related to his soul? What is the background of an act like that ?
