What is the xian depiction of the so-called devil?

It was said by Pythia that 'devil' is a persion of Sanskrit's 'Deva' (shiny, divine, etc) and 'Devi' (fem: Goddess).

I am curious however if these depictions of red creatures with horns and a tail have any basis in reality. Do such images appear in any Pagan traditions? I think that recall seeing something similar in Hinduism.

Beyond that, do any such beings exist? I had experienced night terrors around 5 or 6 years old and I remember seeing these beings of which liked to tease, humiliate and scare me. That said, I had an inexorably problemed early childhood.

A final question - I understand that we don't celebrate Halloween with the above mockery of our true Gods & Goddesses. That being said, I have lately been deeply infatuated with hot peppers and hot sauces. There are a couple that I enjoy from a company called Hellfire that have this red creature. Another has a picture of Hellboy on it and it was released as the official hot sauce sponsored by the movie franchise.

The ingredients in these sauces are quite natural and healthy, yet I feel unsure about having the image around... could it be a blasphemy? This one is hard for me as I genuinely love their sauces. I feel rather a bit conflicted about a very few of the images they use.

1 spelling error - 'perversion', not persion.
