What determines sexuality?

I am male and mostly attracted to men, although do like women a little. I am interested in what determines the nature of one's sexuality, not just simply liking men or women, but things like fetishes and other turn ons too.
What is it that determines this and can your sexuality be changed?

Also, is it right that an identity is made out of one's sexual preferences? Me personally, I refuse to say "I am" a homosexual or bisexual whatever, because when you look at it logically, sexuality is a FEELING, an urge, it's not meant to be an identity or something that defines you any more than liking or disliking pickles should be an identity.

Please share your thoughts and knowledge. I really want to know what controls our sexual desires.

Actually no, saying "I'm gay" or "I'm bi" is exactly like saying "I'm a visual type" or "I'm an auditory type". Or like even saying "I'm a O+ Blood type". Is being a visual type or of a certain blood type an identity??? I could use many more examples of different types. All those are used to express different modes of functioning and therefore you use "I" and and adjective. It's not just a preference, sexualities are different modes or types which have to do with your soul and genetics.

Same here actually. Other than knowing that it's determined biologically I don't really know.
I'm sure the chakras ruled by Mars and Venus play a big part though.
