void meditation

john smith2 min to read

Void meditation is my downfall. I can do the energy meditations
well, and i have strong chakras and have been invoking the
elements. I enjoy the energy meditations, but for me void
meditation is like pulling teeth. When I was a kid i got my brain
mapped because i was having trouble paying attention in school. The
doctors (or whoever it was) said that i didn't have ADD, but i did
have some focusing issues. I think this is part of the reason why
void meditation is so hard for me. I have avoided void meditation
for a long time because of this. The first section in "Initation
Into the Hermetics" says that you must be able to be in the void
state for at least 10 minuets. When i started doing void meditation
as my main meditation (I had been doing it on and off for a while,
so i got the idea)i wasn't even close to the 10 min mark. I was
only able to be in the void state for 2-3 seconds before a thought
popped into my head. Now after a week and a half of meditating
every night for around 40 min per night, i can hold the void state
for 7-9 seconds. At this rate, it seems like it would take years to
reach the 10 min mark. I have read the JoS section on void
meditation, as well as many other sources. My question is: are
there anything else I can do to help my void meditations. Is there
and element i could be invoking into my brain in order to increase
its compacity and therefore help me with void. It seems like there
must be spell or something that i can use for this. Like i said i
have a strong aura, is there any way i can use this to help me do
void meditations? I want to use my strong points to eliminate my
weak points. Thanks

I read on the site that the Isa rune can help, but it needs to be
used sparingly or it dulls the mind. I tried it once, my mind felt
calmer.

You say you can hold it for 7 seconds?

THAT IS A START!!

You really cannot be discouraged - void is extremely difficult to
master. Even if you can hold it for 7 seconds, you will eventually
get to 10. Then higher - and the better you get at it, the EASIER it
will be to get EVEN BETTER. See what I mean??

I know, I know... you have to get past that beginning phase... but
you can do this. Just understand that it will take some time.

In addition to just staying with it and being persistent, try
achieving the desired state of mind through other less standard
means. Some of us with focus issues have high intellects and very
active minds and others strongly desire to be consistently doing very
active things like power meditations or physical activities. Imo,
most supposed disorders, etc., are useless labels, only useful for a
very small minority of people.

I was diagnosed ADD and hyperactive in my youth and negated this
effectively with coffee for a while. Then, through Spiritual Satanism
meditation, and a plethora of other occult, spiritual, martial,
chinese medicine activities, these problems entirely vanished for
good. I use no coffee now as my body and mind now greatly dislike it.
Lack of focus, in your case, could be due to genetics- on this, worry
not for in time you will change on the cellular level in accordance
with your will. Lack of focus could also be provoked through dietary
or environmental conditions. Either way it will be resolved.

Bottom line: we are each different; each individual has different
areas where mastery must be attained early on. You have alternatives,
such as "stance meditation" as practiced in the martial arts. The
aggony of holding these stances over prolonged periods of time will
give you ferocious discipline, not to mention profound energy results
if you are also doing JoS meds. You can achieve states of no mind in
this way and it will have a beneficial impact on your standard Void
Meditation sessions.

Another alternative is to build up to the actual void meditation
during each session. Begin with simple remaining motionless for 15
minutes. Then, remaining motionless dwell on your breathing if you
like. From there, void out. Stay at it brother.

So once i get past the begining phase i will start to advance
faster. that's good news. i guess it's kinda like running. if you
are really out of shape, you will not be able run more than a block
without getting out of breath, but after time you will start to be
able to run further and further in shorter amounts of time. so than
getting from 0-60 seconds of void is harder than getting from 60 sec
to 10 min.

Yes, exactly. You really have to look at it like, "The worst part is
the start." Because in a way, it really is. Think about it: after
you open your third eye, it will be easier to work with energy,
because you can SEE it. Right? So this is a BIG help, because you
can SEE what you are doing. This is just one example.

I am sure you can get this. You have come this far, so why can't you
go all the way??

This is the targeted message.

my old website is grossly "out of date" in light of the present
experiences that I am having, levels that I've hit, and knowledge
that I have gained about things in general and my Self, so I have put
it aside until it can be completely revised. Let me see if I can
quickly modify a couple of pages for you which may help.

otherwise, you will have to find a school, take 1 or 2 classes and
BAM you have stances to use as you see fit... or grab a book or video
and play around until you roughly have a feel for particular stances.
Stances don't have to be perfect to achieve the occult results

Lack of focus, in your case, could be due to genetics- on
this,
worry
not for in time you will change on the cellular level in

with your will. Lack of focus could also be provoked through
dietary

Bottom line: we are each different; each individual has

alternatives,
such as "stance meditation" as practiced in the martial arts.
The
aggony of holding these stances over prolonged periods of

will
give you ferocious discipline, not to mention profound energy
results
if you are also doing JoS meds. You can achieve states of no
mind
in
this way and it will have a beneficial impact on your

standard

Void
Meditation sessions.

Another alternative is to build up to the actual void
meditation
during each session. Begin with simple remaining motionless
for
15
minutes. Then, remaining motionless dwell on your breathing

if

you
like. From there, void out. Stay at it brother.

I will. By the way, i noticed you had a section on Hsing Yi. There
is a place near my house that has Hsing Yi classes, and i have been
thinking about taking classes there. Have you taken it, and if so
waht do you think of it as a martial art?

We are talking about two different things now, a martial art and
using stances towards occult objectives.

Regarding the former, the True Will of your Soul is all that matters
because then you approach bliss and effortless Being. If your Soul is
martially oriented, the Demons may guide you to the high quality
masters [and the average ones] for specific short-term objectives,
literally one after another. Use your Satanic intuition. I have
experience with the 3 main internal systems and think very highly of
all three. My current Soul needs click well with Hsing Yi. A short
time ago, they clicked immensely well with very specific Bagua-
related instruction. And most of the early occult benefits that I
derived from martial arts stance meditation, etc., [as discussed on
my Site] were obtained when I was working with Tai Chi. Very roughly
speaking (avoiding digression)... Hsing Yi is forward moving and
direct- the quality of what you learn will depend on the quality of
your instructor. Some Bagua background seems necessary for multiple
opponents and for cultivation of certain types of awareness. Tai Chi
in general seems to cultivate more fluid grace AND IS PROBABLY IDEAL
for your VOID MEDITATION objectives, both it's Longform and its
Stances.

That aside, we are focusing on stance meditation, right? It would not
hurt for you to take a few Hsing Yi classes and tell the instructor
that you want to learn the 5 element basic stationary stances to hold
for long periods of time in order to build discipline. The instructor
may only teach you one at a time... and that is fine... just take the
stance and use it for occult objectives. Also, an experienced
instructor should have more than just the Hsing Yi stances and can
probably provide you with Tai Chi stances, which would be fine as
well. Whatever you get, just take the stances and use them.

You have VOID MEDITATION objectives, so I recommend slow and fluid TC
Longform and stationary TC stances. However, specific to Stance
Meditation towards occult objectives, ANY stances will do the trick.
Your nearby school should be fine. Hope I did not give you
information overload. =)

~Hail Satan~

It has been a few weeks since I have posted on this subject. I have
been working on void meditation and just the other day, I made a
breakthrough. I realised that i had been going about void
meditation back asswards. I thought that because void meditation is
about the control of thoughts, I was supposed to mentaly strain in
order to force my thoughts into submission. I recently realised
what void is really about. The other night I was thinking about the
first part of the exercises in Initation Into the Hermetics. It
said to simply observe your thoughts, so I did. While i was
observing my thoughts i suddenly realised what i had been doing
wrong. I noticed that there were two types of thoughts in my mind
which i decided to call active and passive thoughts. Active
thoughts are created by the concious mind and you have concious
control over them. Some examples of active thoughts are critical
thinking and problem solving. Passive thoughts, on the other hand,
are created by the subconciousmind and you do not have concious
control over them. An example of passive thinking is those random
thoughts that seem to pop into your head for no appearent reason.
Active and passive thoughts feel a little different in my mind,
mostly because i have concious control over my active thoughts, but
not my passive thoughts. While i was observing my thoughts i alsi
observed that my passive thoughts seemed to echo my active
thoughts. If I actively thought about a car, my passive thoughts
would chime in and start thinking about fast cars, then drag racing,
then the police, then the TV show COPS, and the chain would keep
going as long as I was listening and I didn't start activly thinking
again. After I realised this i started trying different things with
my thoughts, and this is how i realised the true essance of void.
In void you are actualy doing two things at once. One is controling
active thoughts and one is controling passive thoughts. I found
that in order to control my active thoughts i had to supress them
with my will. The exercise that I find best for this is the
lightning method (I don't recall the name of the person who came up
with it). Many people know that the length of time in between
seeing the lightning in a lightning storm and hearing the thunder
can give them a rough estimate of how far away the lightning
struck. After the lightning strikes they stop and listen for the
thunder. While they are listening they stop actively thinking.
This example gives a good tangable way to understand how to supress
active thoughts with the will. If you have never listened for the
thunder like this, another example is when the phone rings. Many
people stop and listen to see if some one else picks up the phone.
This is the first half of void. The second half is controling
passive thoughts. Since you do not have concious control over your
passive thoughts, you cannot force them out with your will. In
order to stop passive thinking, you must do two things. First you
must stop active thinking. Second you must ignore your passive
thoughts. In order to ingore their passive thoughts, many people
focus on something else, usualy a candle flame. Controling both
your passive and active thoughts simultaniously is the key to void
meditation. After i realised this the other night, I tried void
this way. It worked much better than the way i was trying before.
I know this is long, but i wanted to share it with everyone.

WOW!! i applaude u for this dicovery. This needs to posted in the
other boards. So, controlling ur active thoughts are the key to
trances, a powerful mind and 100% success rate in any working.
Something so complex is sooo simple!
