Vegan/ Vegatrianism/ Humane source of meat?

I need some serious help with my diet. I adore animals and they are a huge factor in my life. Eating them has put me in a moral dilemma...

I was a vegetarian for 5-6 year, stopped, went back to it for a year and now we are back to eating meat.

Reason being was income at the time, it was hard to keep up a proper amount of protein and I was getting lethargic, with more income it's financially suitable to go back to being Vegan but I'm looking for true health benefits and whats best for my body.

This is beast world, eat or be eaten. If I don't eat meat, that doesn't stop the lion from mauling a zebra to death and it doesn't stop my dogs/ cat/ snake from eating meat.. If I have to support the killing of other animals to keep my animals alive, why would I not use these resources for myself?

All my pets are being put on a raw diet, so they are able to eat biologically appropriate food. (Plus kibble is awful!!! Cat should not eat kibble at all!!! This is a total side note, if you haven't looked into your pets food please do. Purina, Iams, Science diet, and so many more are borderline poison. Watch the documentary Pet Fooled on Netflix it is a great one. )

So if I'm buying meat, and supporting the meat industry why would I not eat it myself? No matter what happens there is always going to be a demand for meat, even if ever human on earth stopped eating meat, we still have to raise live stock to feed our pets.. I mean unless everyone just stops owning animals.

Yet, I feel like shit about it. I love cows.. I love birds.. I love fish. I love them all and if it came down to it I'd much rather observe an animal than kill it.

What do you guys eat? Anyone have any advice that might help with this?

I've heard this argument both ways. Personally I eat meat- that's why we have the teeth we do to plants and animals. Plants have feelings too- are we goug to stop eating plants too? Then we will die. Merging conscienceness taught me that plants have emotions in their own way but so do animals. If we stop eating them we die. But what else are some animals for if not for food- we have to help cows give birth. They can sacrifice meat in return. I hate thinking about it but as you said animals eat meat too. It's nature. Humans used to hunt buffalo and collect berries

To me, morally there is nothing wrong with eating meat. Like the previous responder stated, we have the teeth and even the digestive tract to process the meats. But as a human, we need to be responsible for our planet.  Somewhere on JoS, I believe it was HP Pythia said that Satan would like us to take care of our planet. I mean, why wouldn't he since he is the creator here!

So here are some of my personal tips- I've been in your same boat! I felt at one point it was wrong to consume animals since I love animals..

Try buying from a local farmer..that butchers his own meats. Those cows get to be out in the grass..and get to be a cow before they are used for meat.

Raise your own chickens! They are easy to care for and don't require a lot of space. A lot of my neighbors have their own chickens so I get eggs from them often which is fantastic!

Grow your own garden. See what fits in your area as far as growing seasons. Right now I'm growing a lot of potatoes and corn..Both are super easy to harvest and store for many months. Rebuilding our soils is very important. Soil and plants are the ones who suck up that Co2 and replace it with oxygen.

Buy your milk local- We have local milk farms...but there's one in particular that I favor the most...because they actually let you visit their farms and pet the cows. The rule of thumb is if they don't let you see the cows, then there's something WRONG. They are doing sketchy practices that aren't healthy for our planet or YOU.

It can be overwhelming. It's also a lot of fun, growing your own food. Also, I enjoy hunting my own meats when available..but not everyone is comfortable with some things...To me, these are the things I try to do to make me feel more responsible for the earth and myself, for you it might be something different and that's okay. The reason why I started eating meats again was because I kept getting shakey and wasn't taking enough "supplements' from the store. I am not a big fan of over processed things to begin with..So why should I have to take a pill to make me feel better when I could be getting the things I need from food!?! It's a no brainer.

I call myself a "meat eater" but in reality I only eat small amounts of meat..Our society focuses so much on meat consumption it's not even funny. Look at countries where obesity isn't really a problem..like Japan and China...Google search once about their diets and what they eat to help maintain- well it's definitely less meat!!! But that diet works for me! experiment for yourself what works for you as far as costs and how your body reacts to things such as carbs and fats..

I too, feed my dogs a fresh diet when I can. Boiling chicken and brown rice. Or you can slow cook it. It's been hard lately to do so, since I started working part time at a store..which schedules me all kinds of odd ball hours...

I wish you luck! I would love to hear more about what you find and any articles you may find etc..

Our bodies are not meant to digest flesh. It can digest it. Flesh is carcinogenic. Red meat reduces your life span. All flesh does really. And the amount of chemicals put in the animal doesn't add anything good to your system. Think of all the shit they use just to package it. Buying meat also fuels Monsanto, which then adds to the mass manipulation of our planet and destruction of Mother Nature.

So if fighting the juice is you main concern you should be vegan. Or for the most part vegetarian. Regardless of your morals flesh is bad news. I notice a difference in my system when I eat any kind of meat even fish. I feel like shit, but not when I eat something healthy.

Vegetable have more protein as well.

Say whatever you like, but I think it's funny how people spaz about tattoo ink causing mental illness and degrading the body but will eat meat with no problem ?. And don't get me started about the parasites that are entering your body... Tape worms have been discover in this shit.

It's real. And the juice want you to be eating meat. They want you to love flesh, eating it w every meal. Feeding the economy. The food you eat is killing you. That's the truth. The things you should never put in your body is soda, meat, and junk food. All sugar if not from a natural source is horrible. But staying on the subject, meat is not good for you. No matter what anyone says, it's bad news.

I struggle with meat mostly because of the raising and slaughtering practices.

If it from good sources or wild game, I'm still leaning toward it being okay.

I'd love to raise my livestock, If possible I'd totally raise Chicken and Turkeys.

Buy Organic. It's more expensive but this way you will have the peace of mind that the animals were not harmed unethically. If you can't get Organic, free range is the next best thing.

Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPhone

Thank you guys so much for your help on this. For me personally I feel so much better eating meat, I have more energy, my skin is nicer and my period cramps completely stopped. (Although I also stopped smoking weed at the same time so that might also be a factor ahahah)

I was really starting to hate the back and forth. "Meat is evil!" "Meat is great!" I'm going to continue to eat meat.

I found a site for our dogs raw diet that sell human grade organic ( No additives, No Hormones, No Preservatives ) meat in bulk and they even state for some of the cuts they eats themselves. Buying in bulk will actually save us money each month to feed all our dogs, cat and us!

If anyone interested http://www.carnivorecarryout.com/default.asp is what we're going to be ordering from.

If your not in their ranges there is also tons of other sites that offer the same services but I don't know if any are as cost efficient as this one.

Hail Satan!!!!!!!!!

Andrew Watson, I agree with you. There has been evidence of red meats degrading your body. I still don't quite trust the even local meats I buy, the deer I hunt- well they can eat shady things such as pesticides and BS as well. Then I eat those poisons.

And I too, think its funny how people on here will go on a tangent about one thing, because they've elected to not like it, but are okay with another...simply because THEY like it.

The point with all of these things is that you need to be aware. We're not here to argue. In my opinion, do the diet that makes you feel good and feeds your body. Do not deprive your body of things that it needs simply because you think it is wrong. Find a better source, do things on your own like I have said in my previous comment.

High Priest Mageson has recently provided some new guidance regarding vegetarianism here:\n\n

Kayla,

You can do whatever you want in this world.  The world is filled with plenty of poison, and it is really up to you to measure and control your Intake and Output to re adjust to your quality of life.  The addage is, we are going to die anyway... so live a little, but try to extend ones health.  Livint healthy goes beyond dieting and is partially emotional.  My advice regarding this is to not pull your hair out like some Weirdo hellbent on all these dumb programs like Vegetarianism, Atkins or whatever.  Just a realistic, balanced, and sometimes unbalanced approach to life for that extra fun. But again, it is all up to you to do research and figure out what makes sense for you, rather than becoming a victim of these various lifestyle/dieting Cults.

And I too, think its funny how people on here will go on a tangent about one thing, because they've elected to not like it, but are okay with another...simply because THEY like it.

"We are going to die anyway..."What's up with that attitude? Maybe you tried to be sarcastic? If not, then you should seriously read templeofzeus.org.We Zevism are here to advance and reach godhood (aka immortality). Our goal is immortality, and therefore not-dying.Ofcourse everyone is free to do whatever he wants, but giving up like that and just being like "we are gonna die anyways" is, in my opinion, stupid. And stupidity is the only sin in satanism.

I'm so back and forth with all this diet stuff... What are people suppose to eat????? Why is this so difficult?!

No Shael,
I think you just misunderstood.  What I meant was is people need to come to terms with Death as inevitable.  I doubt there is anyone that can become physically immortal, but by all means prove me wrong.  Immortality is of the soul and not the flesh from what I gather.  Anyway, come to terms with Death, and start living life in a more sensible way, instead of an Austere Life where you eat only kibbles and bits, or alfa alfa wheat grass only or whatever.  Life is meant to be enjoyed and meat does have nutrients that are good for you.  I think people have complicated too many things with all these weird life styles and diets.  You can eat an all around balanced diet, build a strong body and still lead a longer and healthier life, but it is up to you to decide how to eat meat and still be healthy.  Like for example, not eat as much of it?  or perhaps a higher quality of meat?  Lead an active lifestyle?  Just common sense.

@mandy_moo923, you are free to eat what you want. Freaking out and panicking every time you eat will cause more damage to your body than a steady diet of junk food. It is unfortunate that much of the food supply is poisoned and it is becoming more and more difficult to obtain food that will not ruin your health. It is a good idea to stay away from fast food and processed food if you can. Home-cooked food from whole ingredients is the best way to go. For example, a whole avocado is tough to adulterate or slip poisoned ingredients into. Avocado paste in a jar can have fillers and other unwanted ingredients added. You should have a variety of foods in your diet and balance between those ingredients (i.e. eating multiple kinds of fruits and vegetables rather than just bananas). Your intuition and your own body are the best guides on what you should eat. You should listen to your body and go with what you feel. A general guide on cooking is below.

@mandy_moo a balanced diet that has everything in there. Except for artifical sugars and crap.

Be aware of your usage of oils that contain a llt of omega 6. Also omega 3 is often added as an artifical thing that needless to say is hard if not impossible for our bodies to digest. Natural omega 3 comes from fish in example.

Do not buy stuff that is 'food' meant to increase vitamins or lower cholesterol or something. Those things should be seen as medicine and are needless to say just trash more times than not.

It will take some time to sort through all the crap and hypes that is on the food area out there. Perhaps it is not a bad idea to write down how you feel after you eat something and what you ate.

Also microwaved food has the reputation of being unhealthy not because of the preservatives, but what tbe waves of the microwave do.

Avoid transfats and go for butter from grassfed cows.

Our teeth are multi purpose.  People create all sorts of reasons/excuses to validate their world view.  This is also common when it comes to the practice of magick as not everyone can always agree on the same thing.  As the saying goes, part of the magick is in the believing.
