Vaccines

So I have a question. Since I'm 16 I still go to school and it's required that you get a flu vaccination and this is the reason (I copied and pasted it)

During the legislative session, Indiana code 20-34-4-2 was revised, requiring the
Indiana State Department of health (ISDH) to "adopt rules under IC4-22-2 to require
school age children to receive additional immunizations against the following:
Meningitis, Varicella, and Pertussis (whooping cough). The additional
immunizations required under the rules shall include an immunization booster if
considered appropriate by the state department." Effective August 17, 2011;
without having proof of receiving these immunizations, your child will be
excluded from attending school or participating in school related extra
curricular activities; please bring proof to the building nurse on or before this
date

Immunization requirements for 2011-2012 school year:


a. ALL students entering Kindergarten are required to have the following:
5 doses of DPT, 4 doses of polio (one given on or after the 4th birthday),
3 doses of Hepatitis B, 2 doses of MMR, and 2 doses of varicella (unless a
history of chicken pox is documented)


b. ALL 6th -12th grade 5 doses of DPT; 4 doses of polio (one given on or after
the 4th birthday), 2 MMR, 2 doses of varicella vaccine, 1 dose of Tdap given on
or after 10 years of age; 3 doses of Hepatitis B vaccine (3rd dose must be given
on or after 24 weeks of age); and 1 dose of Meningococcal conjugate vaccine
(MCV4)

I think it is bullshit that I have to have poison injected into me and if I don't I can't go school! I never really thought about it deeply until now. It really got me thinking after reading this post http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JoyofSata ... sage/31415

So what am I to do keep letting them inject me with poison until I graduate? If anyone can help me at all I would really appreciate it.

Home Schooling is a great option, however it depends on the situation. I was home schooled for my 9th grade year. It wasn't all it was boasted up to be, but this was because I wasn't ready for the transition.

There are also a few variables to consider in making this decision:
1. Does the home schooling program you are considering meet the educational requirements for the state you live in?
2. Do you have the drive and will to be home schooled?3. Do your parents have the money to afford this option until you graduate?4. Can you Return to Public School in your State/ County if you have been home schooled the previous year? Some states will Not allow this, such as Alabama.

In my experience being home schooled was very difficult. I was so easily distracted when I was younger, I couldn't concentrate on anything for more than 15-30 minutes. I would day dream constantly. I didn't even like school. I was about to be set back in the 8th grade for Algebra. My teacher made a deal with me, that because I was going to be home schooled for 9th grade that she would pass me, but if she caught me in High School she would mess things up for me. So my parents decided to pay the $2250 dollars for me and my Sister to be home schooled the next year. A year later my parents got divorced and I decided to get my GED. 
I acquired my GED back in 1998, at the age of 17, I had to go to some classes for it to get ready for the Testing. But the requirements are much different now, the GED is not on a 9th grade level as it was back then, Now it is on a 12th grade level in most states! I got really lucky. I do Not feel like a dummy though, because I still Graduated from College with my Associate of Science Degree, and have used my education to get to where I currently am. Considering all of the circumstances involved.... I am still a Success! I feel good about this. For now, personally, do not feel the need to further my education.

They told me I had to have those too, but I never took them since I got them when I was in preschool and its been almost two years since ive been out of highschool. They may just let you still go to school.
