Using the Runes

So I noticed on the JoS website that the page for using the runes is down. I want to be sure of how to use the runes for an aura of protection. For Algiz would I breathe in energy, vibrate, state affirmation, and repeat that 5, or multiple of 5, times? Input would be greatly appreciated
