For some reason there is less understanding and sympathy from people when it comes to laziness as a problem compared to other vices and weaknesses people have. We don't necessarily go and judge and condemn overweight people for eating too much, or smokers or alcoholics for instance, those vices there is more understanding of, but if you are lazy or a bum, you are still looked down on, when in reality, just like all the other problems I just mentioned, what you really need is HELP.
So ignore the people who put you down. Everyone has issues and problems they need to overcome, ours just happens to be laziness.
Laziness is my WORST vice also. I can go without alcohol, I don't smoke or take drugs, I can even go without sex or socializing with people. But laziness is something I have always struggled with ever since I was a child and still do.
Here are the best three pieces of advice I can give on this subject.
1) Take baby steps. Set yourself small daily targets you think you can accomplish each day and continue them for a month if you can do all of it, increase it a little. Little by little work up. I have been given this advice for years but I ignored it and NOTHING WORKED! I am now trying it and it is starting to work so my suggestion to you is try it for yourself. Don't ignore this one. Just begin with say 20 minute meditation each day and morning yogic stretching and stick with that for a month. See how it goes.
2) As Xavier Saggs said, about learning the wisdom of the sloth lol when it comes to meditation. YES! This is a spiritual alchemy technique, the so called "transforming metal into gold". One of the universal laws is that of polarity, there is a positive and negative side to everything, including laziness. So instead of saying to yourself "I am a lazy person who doesn't do anything" change the inner dialogue to "I am able to be still and meditate with ease" you do not have to fight the laziness even, when you try to meditate, just tell yourself this is you in your laziness, accepting it.
This one has helped me a lot. I turned my laziness into an advantage when it comes to meditation.
And 3) DO NOT beat yourself up and put yourself down about your laziness over and over again, do not listen to the people who try to put you down. This will do even more damage to you, fucking with your self esteem and also if you believe yourself to be lazy and drum it into yourself "I am lazy" over and over then it will become a self fulfilling prophecy by programming you subconscious mind.
Always love yourself and know you can only try your best.

This is something you need to deal with yourself believe it or not it is the truth. Even if you heard it a million times it is still going to be the truth. Just learn to relax man and not treat meditations as some choir. It can be hard to change your outlook yes but you just need to learn the wisdom of the sloth and do what a sloth does when it meditates.
