TRUTH

Most people, including ourselves, live in a world of relative ignorance. We are even comfortable with that ignorance, because it is all we know. When we first start facing truth, the process may be frightening, and many people run back to their old lives. But if you continue to seek truth, you will eventually be able to handle it better. In fact, you want more! It's true that many people around you now may think you are weird or even a danger to society, but you don't care. Once you've tasted the truth, you won't ever want to go back to being ignorant -- Socrates

We are the truth here at JoS

Probably what everybody here who’s serious has gone thru. People around us even those close to us just can’t seem to want to do inner self reflection at the least and even get upset at you for even suggesting such a thing while we in a constant daily basis work to find our true selves to make the best of who we really are as individuals and because of that it can be very bewildering seeing people stay in this ignorant level. But as Socrates says it’s just something that IS in humanity and thus normal. At least for now it is.

I refused to believe it and that caused me anger problems and pointless arguments but reading it from him made things clearer in understanding this unfortunate state of things.

Yes, it was difficult for me too, when my self awareness and perception of things around me changed with meditation, we move up to a new level of understanding. I saw people around me and I thought "was I really this fucked up?" Ignorance is like a curtain, it has to be drawn aside to see things as they really are, and there is no other way but meditation.

I can relate to how it is looking back at how one was as well. What you say is very true.

There are times when I feel completely alien to what is out there.

And like I'm a completely different life form, even though you're part of the same collective of souls.
