On this page, the 2nd link where it says, "Another very informative LINK", seems to have expired as it re-directs to something irrelevant. If it's possible, I'd like to have a correct link to read further about the topic.

He means this page http://www.angelfire.com/empire/serpent ... ation.html

That page is obviously very old so a rule is when you look in links from old pages and don't exist, use web.archive.org to see how they used to look like.
