One of the building blocks of my (and I assume, many others') Satanic faith is the adherence to the belief that Abrahamic religion has destroyed, bastardized, demonized and hidden ancient wisdom about thought and spirituality.
That being said, this feeling, as well as my study of pagan society and modern sociology, brings me to a problem of the modern world: There is no incentive for the creation of the tribe.
No, I am not talking about prehistoric tribes. Tribes, as a way of human interaction, have been at their peak conceptually within ancient times.
One would have his family unit, with other family units that either served a similar purpose in the city or were of similar ancestry worship, would go ahead and form closely knit groups.
This aids in communication, and many more psychological, evolutive, effects.
However, this also breeds ideas within thinkers, that are approved by those who may think differently within the group. This sends the group down a unified trajectory, which, if the group survives for a long time, will lead to great workings, be they scientific, artistic, spiritual, what have you. Unique glory of unique minds shaped across generations towards the one common goal. The one word that summarizes Lord Satan's voice in your head. Thrive!
We have lost the tribe. When I look out of my east-European window, a view of some communist buildings reminds me of how globalized of a society I live in.
A shallow city, with shallow businesses that have no creativity or culture, with a population so unguided and without direction, with the occasional Christian church here and there. Right next to some casino, of course.
The tribe can't form naturally anymore.
Grouping together, in ideals, goals, aspirations and resources, as a practice, is gone.
And when it comes to developing your identity, be it personally, spiritually, physically, health-wise or in any way otherwise, has become so frowned upon in this suffocating world.
I'm doing fine coping with it. I've found my culture. I know my path. And I shine a light for others to see, if they are smart enough to see it, even within this darkened world.
But one can't help but think.
What is one to do?
