The Pineal Gland?

I've read that the crown chakras governs the pineal gland and vice versa and also from the JoS site that the sixth chakra governs the pineal gland. And another saying the 6th chakra governs the pituitary gland not the pineal. So does the sixth and crown chakra BOTH govern the pineal gland?

The JoS site does not say that the crown chakra governs the pineal gland. There's the crown chakra opening, part of which which also stimulates the pineal gland as you focus on it (this is done because the 6th chakra which ties directly to the pineal gland is opened last after other chakras) but doesn't mention such thing. Even if you notice in this exercise you don't only focus on the crown chakra and the pineal gland is supposed to be stimulated by it, no, you focus separately on them. The only place where it tries to attribute the pineal gland to a chakra mentions that it's ruled by the 6th chakra.

You probably read that in kundalini yoga books, they attribute the 6th to the pituitary gland and the crown chakra to the pineal when it's the opposite.

Also since The Jupiter square empowers the crown chakra and pineal gland that's what made me think that they were connected to eachother.

It gets confusing, there's also this mantra OM MANIPADME HUM which empowers the pineal gland, but its literal translation from Sanskrit means "OM THE JEWEL IN THE LOTUS HUM", the lotus being the crown chakra since it's called the one thousand petal lotus.

i really don't understand what u mean actually

I wonder that too. Also I thought the 6th was the psychic center but I've read the crown when open makes seeing things much clearer. What is the function of both in less broad terms is what I'm wondering.
