What became of the lost religion of Atlantis? This is a question I've
pondered for quite some time.. While the story of Atlantis was in fact
given to us by Plato a Greek philosopher, we are still left in the dark
when it comes to clues of where this ancient continent might have been.
Some say Atlantis was what is known today as North America. Others say
it was elsewhere in the world. We are also left in the dark about what
kind of catastrophe caused this continent to sink if indeed it actually
sank. Other's suggest that the Ice age melt off caused the rising of the
sea levels and caused islands and land masses to disappear into the
ocean. However Plato was not talking about a small island.. If indeed he
is correct in saying that the CONTINENT was in fact as large as "Libya
and Asia minor combined". We are talking about a huge land mass! Not a
small island the size of Honolulul. Mainstream science suggests that
Continents don't sink. So if we're in fact talking about a continent
that suffered a catastrophic event that caused a tsunami to wash over
it, what continent would that be? Plato mentioned that Atlantis was
beyond the "Pillars of Hecules" which are now the Straits of Gibralter.
If you look on any modern day map of the world, you can easily find the
Straits of Gibralter. Draw a straight line west from the Straits to
America and you end up in South Carolina. The east coast's land mass was
much larger before the end of the last ice age. In fact if you take a
look at an ocean relief map, you'll see that Florida's land mass has
declined about 50% from what it orginally used to be before the last ice
age. So was South Carolina or Florida where the city of Atlantis may
have been? Edgar Cayce mentioned that Atlantis existed in the Carribean
Ocean, and it's now part of the chain islands near Cuba. If so the
Greeks would have had to travel further south to get to Atlantis from
the Straits of Gibralter. Why no just go straight? Edgar Cayce also
mentioned that the people of Atlantis possessed high advanced
technology. Archaeologists have discovered these items petrified in
coal deposits across the United States of America: Nails, Hammers, a
spark plug, screws, aluminum, alloy, coins, a metal flower vase with
flower designs etched into the metal, an iron pot, a brass bell, and
much more! Archaeologists have also discovered what appear to be roads
or highways several feet in the ground. One of these roads was found in
Colorado.. If in fact Edgar Cayce is correct in his visions of Atlantis
being highly advanced then it would make sense as to why archaeologists
are finding what are known as Ooparts or Out of place artifacts, all
over the North American continent. However some scholars say that the
whole world was advanced during that age and civilizations all over the
world met with some kind of catastrophic event that wiped out their
history. Scientists have discovered that a meteorite hit what is now
known as the Yucatan penninsula near the Gulf of Mexico millions of
years ago. But what if this happened much sooner say around 12,000 years
ago? It would explain why the ice age ended, it would explain how a
tsunami could have wiped out land masses all over North America, and
other parts of the world.. A meteorite would have caused Earthquakes,
possibly volcanoes, floods, devastation all over the continent of North
America, but would have left places like Egypt undisturbed. It may have
also contributed to a tilt of the Earth's axis and caused other
countries that were once temperate to suddenly become deserts. People
may have evacuated to Egypt and other parts of the world, leaving North
America or Atlantis in ruins for about six thousand years until the
vikings rediscovered it in the 11th century CE. All of this would
explain a gap in our history, and the history of the world and why
archaeologists are rediscovering unexplained evidence left in coal
deposits of an ancient unknown civilization. So what was Atlantis like
possibly? Well according to the discoveries of archaeologists and
scholars, the advanced civilization living on Earth during that time
apparently knew how to lift and maneuver huge blocks of stone weighing
several tons. They had the technology to build flying cars, space ships,
vehicles that could run on land and water, beautiful cities with
skyscrapers, and other towers. But what about religion? Who did the
Atlanteans worship? Well apparently according to several findings they
believed in a life after death, they believed in a higher power.. It's
unkown whether or not they practiced idol worship.. Plato mentions bull
worship but the bull was a symbol of age of Taurus during the time of
Atlantis...I know you're probably thinking if they had that kind of
technology why would they need religion?.. Well the answer is simple, in
our current age, we also have advanced technology but we still want to
believe in a higher power to help mankind.. If indeed there are two
worlds the physical and the spiritual, then just like there are rulers
in the physical world there are rulers in the spiritual world also. Is
it possible that the lost religion of Atlantis may have been Satanism?
Yes it's not only possible it's very likely. However it's also possible
that the Atlanteans called Satanism by another name.
