The ancients had the Gods that ruled the black stage of alchemical working. But this was the step to eternal life as a perfected being. They didn't die, they entered the joyous light of the perfected, immortal state. As Godmen. Later for those who passed from their bodies they knew they just took new bodies. This however is just a xian, materialistic death cult.

This is a VERY interested topic for those who know about this. I used to think the Mexicans took back their Mayan/Aztec roots' god via Santa Muerte or Holy Death. Then from Our standpoint I thought that she could be tantamount to Hel or the Egyptian goddess of Death Anubis or Demeter, Morrighan or a demon which the Jews called Azrael. This figure is known in the West mostly as "The Grim Reaper." I previously lauded them for taking a Saint which was not recognized by the Church as I tended to applaud those who took folk saints as opposed to those who took some historical rich dude from a Church or similar overgrown religious institution that forced certain saints upoo you.. I do not think quite the same these days as I once did of course... but I do think this is an interesting topic worth discussing. In the Folk Magic World of the Occult world she is Worked with by many races and cultures actually, just seen as "The Angel of Death" who they believe also to be tantamount to the gods I listed and more. I think our ancestors honored the death and the dead in many ways and the idea in and of itself may not be bad BUT the people on the planet today are joining in with a Hispanic Death Cult's practices and ideologies (which is inherently Catholic because they believe "Death" was even Baptized into the Faith" Santa Muerte/Holy Death owes it's current roots to a rough town in Mexico similar to some place in the L.A. Barrios. It has spread like wildfire due to that sacred spot (Tenino? or something like that but who cares) and statue behind the glass... and the fact that The Mexican Drug Cartels took her worship as their main religion along with Jesus Malverde. It may indeed just be Jesus in Drag or whatever but I do wonder if our ancestors didn't have something similar to this as a way of honoring Death?

True the original poster is mentioning some bizzare Catholic death cult in Mexico. That worships Saint Death. Which is nothing but Jehova in drag. Only after centuries of living under the xian death cult would people be in the frame of mind to openly worship death.

As it's been said, our Gods are not about death, evil and other crap but are positive beings. Whatever catholic nonsense is worshiped in Mexico, we don't care. Satanism is about life and living your life and becoming immortal, and not death.
