The Gospel, or "God's Spell"....

I read something interesting in my book "The Christ Conspiracy"--the word "gospel" does NOT mean what preachers and priests say it does--namely, "the good news"--it means "God's Spell." That makes more sense doesn't it--"Go--God" and "spel--Spell." Yet when I was a child I did not think to question the word. I knew I hated Xianity but did not know exactly why. One more piece of proof that the bible is nothing but a Jewish spell book...but we were most of us indoctrinated to just listen to the preacher and BELIEVE whatever they said. I once worked with a woman who semi-apologized for her Xianity to me, she said, "my mom and dad TAUGHT me to be a Christian" and I said, "and you can't think for yourself?" She didn't like that much. I have no patience for people who will allow themselves to be spoon-fed any religion without doing the research, in her case I doubt ANY extra-biblical material was ever read, because her mom and dad TAUGHT her to love Jesus, how pathetic...
