The "Elemental Spirits?"...

Obviously the elements are something we believe in, elemental energies of water, fire, air, and earth; but, what of the "elementals" / "elemental spirits?" 

Are there really such things as undines, salamanders, slyphs,and gnomes? 

And what of the "fifth element," is there one, what is it, and does it have an "elemental spirit" type, too? 

And, for that matter, what of the "other elements,"  metal, wood, plant?, animal?, etc., are they elements, too, and do they have "elementals," as well?

If there are "elemental spirits," are they neutral entities?  Are some for Satan and some against Him?  Can they even think or speak?

(If you're wondering where all of this is coming from...I'm working on a new garden...Just kind of wondering if I should or am even able to work with any "elementals"...)

The 'elementals' are entities of the astral that contain just one element, such as Earth for example, and are therefore symbolic of that element since it is their only one. I have a feeling they should be neutral since they aren't extremely intelligent to cause much of either harm or good. Human beings contain all elements, and yes, there is a fifth element that is like an amalgamation of the first four; quintessence. It is the element that signifies the culmination of one's soul and is required in achieving the Magnum Opus.
