No, we are law abiding. In Satanism there's "responsibility to the responsible" with all things. It's your fault and your responsibility if you ignore this advice and do something illegal and get fucked up. With most things this rule applies. i.e. drugs, relationships/friendships with those without. These things are not condoned in Satanism for obvious health/safety/wellbeing reasons, however if you choose to do one of these it's your own responsibility.

Yeah, it is stemming from your xian backround..Also if you steal from a store and get caught don't expect father Satan to just get you out of it instantly. Its all about responsibilty for the responsible. In satanism its all about being smart and NOT get yourself in any situation that could harm you or get you in trouble.
