I've been performing a large number of repetitions of kapalabhati everyday and I have been feeling a lump/pressure in my throat area that lasts the whole day but I don't know what/why that is. Any advice/knowledge would be much appreciated.

Come on brother or sister. Do the the breathe of fire and then the kundalini spinal yoa and you'll be fine!

Lucius you have to completely let go of pressuring on the inhale, it must happen without any force, just let yourself completely loose. Trying to take a bigger inhale streches your throat. Also make sure your head is straight while you do it, not bend forward, not even a bit, as the force of inhaling might hurt. Try this and repost letting us know how it went.
