Strengthening cadent Houses

This combination is for the sake of example:

Pluto in 6th House, Uranus in 9th House.

If I am to strengthen the cadent houses in those planets, should I focus on Martian and Saturnian Squares or should I focus on the planetary rulers of the Zodiac signs in those Houses?

It depends on what you want to strengthen. If you want to strengthen a planet's energies which are a little weakened due to being in a cadent house, then meditate on their squares, but if you want to strengthen characteristics given by the house, strengthen the house itself, then you should meditate on the house's natural ruler, e.g. Mercury for the 3rd and 6th, Jupiter for the 9th etc.

Anyhow, you can specify, while meditating, what you want to happen. I believe any of the squares can help if you direct the energies correctly.
