In Orthodox religion these “saints” are impostors.
For example, many of these “saints” have took the properties of Pagan Gods. “St. Parascheve of Balkans” have took the virtues of Goddess Mokosh (Goddess from Slavic pantheon).
So, yeah. Some of these saints are impostors, created because Gentiles didn’t want to give up their Pagan gods. Just like xmas was created because Gentiles didn’t want to give up Yule.
