Sound meditaion questions

When it says to see the sounds, do they mean visiualizeing it like with the power meditations or do they mean actually see it like u would see a person standing right in front of you?

No, you just open yourself, and eventually you will literally see the sounds. Do some research on synesthesia. It's a crossing over of sensory perceptions. It is also possible to taste colours and there are other cross overs that can occur too.
You don't actively try to see the sounds, it will occur on it's own with practice and being psychic enough.
