If a person advanced spiritually enough over many lifetimes is posible that in this curent life he/she will become a God. Even so many aren't advanced enough so that they will become a God in this life. There are people from ancient times here thay may manage to become a God in this life.

Yes, complete immortality is possible.

I don't know where you heard or read that, but you can't become a god not like this.
Maybe if you pray or meditate enough you might catch the gods' attention and they will come to you.
The gods won't come without reason; they will come only if they feel you are worthy of their time.
And maybe you will have to do something for them — and if you carry out the mission that they will assign to you, then you will be on the right path. Not to become a god — that takes more than one life — and of course in the afterlife you must pass the trials in the Duat; only then will you be worthy enough for them to listen to you.
