This is always so infuriating! Using little kids to fuel all sorts of vicious xtian cults! I hope he's charged to the fullest extent of the law. For too long this crap has gone unpunished because the law won't interfere in what it loosely terms 'religious affairs'. Murder is murder, whether it takes place as the result of a temper tantrum, in the course of a robbery, or as a religious human sacrifice and it's high time such murderers paid the price!
The Jehovah's Witnesses also pull this stunt all the time --with regard to their refusal to accept blood transfusions. In the case of children, the courts usually have to step in and apprehend the child so he/she can receive the needed transfusion, but often it's too little too late.
Think of the negative energy that's given off by way of these human sacrifices and the agonies of their parents or other loved ones (including adult patients, as well, but they can make a choice; tiny babies and adolescents at home cannot).
If a member of this cult tells them to go fuck themselves and gets the transfusion anyway, either for themselves or their child, they are thrown out of the cult. We might be inclined to say, "So what? Good riddance!" but the fact of the matter is that they know nothing or no one else because the cult systematically isolates them from the larger world--often they even find doing their jobs difficult because they can't interact in any meaningful way with non-JW's, even in an impersonal business setting. So they are cast out; no friends, no family and if they don't have a back-up system of some sort, i.e., some savings (which is also discouraged!) to rent a place and set up a household, that can mean the street!
Nothing even remotely resembling "good" can come out of these cults, and of course that holds true for all xtian sects--they all have the same parentage.
