Russian officials want to ban yoga in the country
_________
Officials in downtown Nizhnevartovsk have announced they will ban all yoga classes from private and municipal facilities as part of a crackdown on "religious cults."

According to the Moscow Times, the owners of two of the city's leading hatha-yoga studios have received letters from government officials warning them that they should stop their classes immediately because the practice of yoga could make people wake up spiritually.

Yoga classes were also held in a stadium and in a public hall in Nizhnevartovsk. Therefore, the heads of the local departments for physical culture and education also received these letters, in which yoga was described as "inextricably linked to pagan practices" and as having a "distinct anti-Christian character."

Hatha Yoga is based on the Hindu tradition, but is largely practiced as a physical exercise that promotes flexibility and spiritual development.

Yoga is not welcomed by Russian officials. Last year, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Riabkov told Interfax that Americans should "spend less time outdoors" and "not practice yoga."

What else will the yehuborim do to keep people in bondage? It is clear that they want to discourage us from practicing at least some of the true knowledge that the Gods have given us.

Talk about the Zog panicking. What are they going to do next go from door to door to make sure no one is doing yoga? Just goes to show how important everything is that we are doing. Let those rats flail their arms in vein. Many things have been uncovered and exposed beyond saving face for them now and many people are abandoning the abrahamic programs in droves. Churches are being abandoned enmasse.

Times tells it quite different though :/

Suspicion of yoga is not shared among all Russian apparatchiks, however. Last year, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Interfax news agency that Americans upset about the annexation of Crimea should “spend more time in the open,” and “practice yoga.”

Not that this makes the article any less vile, but that news is nearly over six years old...

Searching "Russia bans hatha yoga" as well as copying the first paragraph including the headline on OPs post yields these results :

This is a controlled move by Russians
-If I'm not wrong there's a Russian Catholic Church, right?
-Russia & America, 2 superpowers but against each other (Publically? or In actuality)
-I'm sure this is a long-term move, I also don't know if a father teaching Yoga to their kids will go to prison if their kids tell someone that they're learning yoga from their father.

Whilst members appreciate the concern and motive behind the topic, it should be pointed out that lack of reference and misquoting does not legitimize it's content.

Where is the "Moscow Times" article that was directly commented from?

Miss quote: Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Interfax news agency that Americans upset about the annexation of Crimea should “spend more time in the open,” and “practice yoga.”

It is still difficult to get people in the western world involved in yoga and to appreciate it's enormous physical and spiritual benefits because of the "crazy guru" label it has attached to it, mainly from false media personalities trying to make crooked profits from it.

After doing the Final Ritual and other's on the schedule,,,, it can be a nice thing to target each leader seeking to ban yoga and the occult activities and perform death curses on them. .... In one's spare time, of course.
Ineffective approach.

Final Ritual already takes care of this, and much more.

Russians (how many others) don't have to give up, and they have to fight to get their due, and then they will decide for themselves whether it does them good or bad. Because little by little if they keep quiet it will take away all their loving government. :x
