Runes

I like to use Isa in it's form as "Ice, that which impedes" when I am doing a working for self defence against another person. I am currently reading Thorson's book from the rune guild. I like his take on them but I have also studied Freya Ashwins rune site and book also.

Runes are advanced BUT you can start using them while you are advancing your soul. Its all about practicing and vibrating them sufficiently. Study the runes page on the JoS website.

Runes can be used for advancement or different kinds of magick etc. They are advance and effective when one knows how to vibrate and use them correctly. You can start doing meditations involving runes but it would be better to take it easy. Start with a few vibrations and as you advance raise the number. It may take you some time to get the vibration correct. It's better to do 10 vibrations that are vibrated correctly rather than do 100 that are vibrated wrong. So take your time and practice.

What happends if I don't use the same runes or chants on each chakra? What if I do the opening instructions each meditaion? Is it bad?

I don't completely understand what you're asking, so if I've not understood correctly, let me know.

I assume you mean, vibrating the specific rune for empowering the chakras (in the 'Full Chakra Meditations'). The runes specified on each page are there because they are the Rune that is correspondence with that chakra. This is the most powerful rune to use for this chakra, and the best option. While you can vibrate the other runes into the chakras, it will not be as effective as using the correct runes.

With the Opening Meditations, you should follow the instructions. These work and should be followed.

Use whatever runes you see fit for each chakra. Thurisaz for blocked chakras etc. Doing the opening for each chakra is good. Empower them every dayHail Satan!

The number of each rune is exactly the way they are listed in the site (for example the number of Thurisaz is 3 etc). Now, just like any kind of working we've done in the past, you inhale, state the affirmation, exhale and vibrate the rune.

It's the same as using only Suryae or only Raum. It doesn't make any difference if you use both of them.

I was looking for more info about Runes.

The readily available books about occult, yoga, etc other sites and such, and info about runes is severely corrupted. It's better you stick to JoS.How to use runes and so forth is instructed on JoS in Runic Kabalah page as you know.

You can make your own rune set. Look online for how to do this.

If you live in North America, try Michael's (the large craft superstore) or any good arts and crafts shop.
There are many nice wooden ones and tumbled stones on Amazon.com/.ca
You can also try Etsy.com for nice, more expensive ones with a personal touch.

I was looking for more info about Runes.
Any suggestions? Other websites. JofS has great info, I would like to read more if possible. Should I buy a set and if so any suggestions where to buy them?

Buy a bag of marbles at walmart (They should only cost 99 cent), nail polish, acrylic paint, and a brush.
1.) Print out the list of runes. This will help you keep track and be able to see the design.
2.) Edge the runes into the marbles one at a time. This will take a bit, it took me three hours to get them all done because I like them being perfect.
3.) Drop the runes into a bag of water, shake it, then pull them out and dry them.
4.) Paint the runes with a bright color, preferably one that stands out.
5.) Once dry, paint with nail polish till the runes are smooth.
Once everything is done, dedicate them in the name of Satan.

I used this method to care some runes into beads on my rosary too (mainly Algiz for protection!)
