Rune Making and Consecrating

Greetings everyone!

I am about to craft my first set of runes, i'm using green quartz (the only stone worth a damn i could find around here) and i'll be painting the runes on the stones with nanquim ink. But i still don't know how to properly prepare and consecrate the runes, i searched HP Vovim's site, someone said there was info on how to do that there but i couldn't find anything about it, so i'd like to ask about consecrating runes here on the group

I was searching the JoS website for some info on squares and rituals and i came across this ritual for consecrating ritual tools: http://www.angelfire.com/empire/serpent ... ation.html

Can i use this ritual to consecrate my rune set? If yes, should i pass the whole set through the smoke or should i do it rune by rune? Runes are considered of what element, Earth? Do i have to do this ritual only in a Full Moon, or other times are also acceptable?

I myself I'm not sure what you even mean by "making runes" or "rune set". From what it says in the JoS site, runes are used as words of power which you vibrate like mantras. Sometimes they are inscribed in sigils or items (like runic staves) together with vibrating them.

I'm referring to inscribing them in stones (24 stones = 1 set of runes, 1 rune per stone). I'm doing a focus/intelligence working using Mannaz since i'll have some tests at college soon i suppose the working plus studying will help me pass the tests.

And i saw that it also helps to carry the rune around with you, wich is why i'm asking about consecrating and making runes. Plus, i'll probably use the rune set for divination in the future.

Just goes to show that one has to do a bit of research on something before replying to a post XD i never thought of using the runes for divination, let me know how it goes.

Yes, i've researched about the usage of runes in divination (as well as other aspects) and i've came across some methods wich i'm willing to test, study and document. Don't know what is so funny about that.
