Reiki: Snake Oil or ...?

I'm amazed at the number of people I've come across who are extolling the wonders of this healing modality, One told me, "It's basically learning how to cleanse and heal the chakras," then went on to explain all sorts of "stuff" that, after distilling all the excess verbiage, boiled down to clairvoyance, clairaudience and mediumship, as if these were some great mysteries available only to initiates, a select few, i.e. those who received (and who could afford to receive, I might add) "Level III Reiki" and later became a "Master" (at additional cost, of course.)

What seems to have a basis in fact, i.e., chakra cleansing, healing, and the above mentioned extra-sensory phenomena, also seems to have been new aged to death. Obviously, learning to become a "Reiki Master" can be hard on the pocketbook. It also takes time ( but there's nothing wrong with the time aspect; anything worthwhile does) although there are apparently some characters that have jumped on the bandwagon claiming you can learn all this on the Internet for less cost & less time. The opposite side of the camp says you must attend all these classes, etc., or your knowledge will be grossly incomplete and ultimately useless.

It seems to me that they have made something comparatively "simple", relatively speaking, and revamped it into something exceedingly convoluted and complicated. If, as I suspect, it has been corrupted (if not invented) by judeo-xtianity & its cohorts, it is but another trap for the unwary and unknowing who want to a) learn to heal themselves and others b) want to make money doing it, and c) want to become known (their proverbial 15 minutes) as one possesses these "extraordinary" abilities. They do report considerable success (which I have not had the opportunity to verify), but that does not in itself establish it as legitimate.

At any rate, my bullshit antenna certainly went way up. Has anyone else had experience with this?

Depends I have the master level of it and have been around, if you find somebody good at it in the mainstream you hit gold.

Reiki is simply based on the Serpent power and the sigils help to open a higher power flow up in the body along the spine and crown and hands. They do work are powerful, the Cobra(Dragon) breath is used to help put them on.

Any Satanist who is doing their daily meditations can already do it, and to a much higher level then the new age types.

The new aged camp loves to claim the evil of materialism but loves to take your money. I do the levels for free if the person is worthy, ie they do power meditations thus show merit. But I guess if I just really hated somebody I might make them pay me for suffering them around me.

From my experience of years your observation is correct.

The new age movement has definitely taken this ancient healing art and corrupted it insidiously, turning it into something that it's not. Personally, i was born able to perform what they call "Reiki" simply because i was born with open and active Hand Chakras. Thats all it is, really. The ability to be able to direct energy through your Hand Chakras, and program it to heal or what ever you wish. High Priestess Maxine Dietrich spoke of Healing via the Hand Chakras before.     Reiki is a Japanese word that basically translates as life energy, like bio electricity. It originally had nothing to do with all of this dogma that has been attached to it via the new age movement.   It sickens me when i see what has been done to it by new agers, and how it has almost been transformed into an angel-worshipping xian cult. It was never meant to be this way, although it has become this way. Ofcourse, it is also a proverbial treasure chest to those looking to make an easy fortune. Reiki "lessons" and sessions here in my country cost ridiculous amounts of money, and most of these practitioners know nothing of true Reiki and what it is really about. Genuine and trustworthy practitioners are far and few in between, unfortunately.  I also learned that walking into a modern "Reiki" practice can be just as bad as walking into a church, what with all the pictures of those filthy angels and even that piece of shit "nazarene" all over the walls.  At least the ones in my area seem to be this way.   But the truth is that Reiki is not like this at all. There are those out there who do acknowledge it for what it really is, without all the new age hype. You dont have to be a "new age guru" to  practice Reiki, as many would have you believe.   Like all other powers of the mind, thanks to Father Satan and our Gods, it is natural to us. Or at least, it should be.   I guess the enemy will always corrupt anything they fear of holding true power, and humanity having the ability to heal themselves is definitely a threat to them. We all know that they want people to remain dependant on an outside entity for "healing", and i believe this is why emphasis has been put on "angelic channeling" in modern Reiki.   I have in the past had success with Reiki, both on myself and others. I sometimes get these awful cramps, and i have removed them by directing the energy through my Hand Chakras and programming it to heal. I also directed energy into my mothers head once when she had a really bad head ache, and she felt the energy and its effects.   Reiki, when used in the Satanic way, can be extremely beneficial.   Hail Father Satan!!
