Real, or just my imagination?

I originally posted this in the JoS group but maybe it belongs here...

Hello all. I'm finding that when I try past life regressions or merging consciousness with animals and humans, it all seems to be going fairly easy, and that's the problem. I'm wondering if my mind is just making everything up as I'm going along?

And now that I'm doing them, knowing what I'm doing, I'm remembering that I kind of did these when I was a kid, but without knowing what I was doing, and just 'pretending' I was psychic and trying to fool my little brother. I've been told many times in my life that I have an overactive imagination, but maybe I'm *not* imagining all of these? Maybe I'm quite skilled at this, but since it seems so easy, I'm convincing myself it's just my imagination. So then of couse I lose my concentration trying to figure this out, or I get out of the meditation convinced it's not actually real.

And I can't exactly call my friend and ask if she was reading a book eating chips from exctly 8:35 - 8:40-ish, she's kind of the paranoid type, and even if she weren't that's still a strange question to ask. And I can't ask someone to follow a cat around and take notes of what he does that I can later examine to see if that's what I experienced. (And no, I do not know in person any other Satanists who would understand what I'm doing and would be able to help me out.)

I found i came into this problem too, often might i add. I think the fact you used to 'pretend' to do these things as a child help you to train your mind into this ability, and now that you know what you are doing, you are instinctivly finding it easy.
What i find helps is to just 'go with it'. So what if you are imagening it? That is still good practice, as well as good practice for your astral sight.
When merging conciousness' with animals or plants, dont just try to see through their eyes, this is something easy to imagen. Try to also feel what they feel, smell and taste what they are. If you have a pet, spend some time with it, make sure its comfortable around you, then try talking to it telepathically for a while. This is all building up a relationship so then you can merge with them. Try feel them lying on the ground, feeling the breeze, ect.
I used to do this alot with tree's, you can feel what they feel, feel the soil, the richness of it, the coolness of it.

Try when you are doing deep, meditative work like this, to sort of, let go. Forget everything, and just slip into the trance. Don't try to analise everything, because this will break your focus. It might sound strange, but really, the best focus, is to not focus at all. Just forget it, relax. In this state of mind you will know whats real and whats not. If you feel its just your mind, pass it and delv deeper.
