Best to do a trial run (well, not running, lol, just lighting the candle...little joke haha) and seeing what it smells like, before you do the ritual. Because if it's a stinker it will be distracting and embarressing.Sometimes what you pay for is what you get. I'd avoid the dollar stores for incense and scented candles.

You don't need an incense candle, what is asked is incense, and a candle. Two seperate objects.
However if you cannot get your hands on incense, and can get some scented candles, these work fine too. Be sure that the scent is pleasent and isn't destracting.
