Question: The novel "Frabato the Magican"

I have been reading the Free Ebooks on the Books for Satans People web site, and I am reading "Frabato the Magician", by Franz Bardon (?). I have a question. I get the distinct impression that it is a - How To and a How Not To, manual on magic- written with a xain flavor, so not to be subject to banning or burning. Am I right?

The book was bogus it was wrote by some new age lady who worked for Bardon. Bardon from statements forbade her to ever publish it. Anyway its a shit job, one thing was the fellow who it claims was Bardon's student was actually Bardon's teacher and mentor. And was a member of Thule Society from reports. Sadly Bardon went off the deep end into rhp nonsense.
