Does the looks of it matter? I'm new and was wondering? i wanted to work on putting together an alter. so far all i have is a few candles and the knife. i was just wondering if kind of knife mattered? i mostly wanted to use it as my athame because i pricked my finger with it for my dedication ritual, but if its not acceptable then ill try to find something else.

The traditional athame is a double edged knife but use what calls to you. My white magick athame for example is a single edged, curved, hunting knife. Hope this helps. Hail Satan!

If you feel comfortable with it, would you mind sharing a picture of it?
