Advance yourself within the path, and people will realize it is good by your fruits. If people see that SS are consistently more intelligent, have better lives, are happier, richer, etc., they will simply not be able to push away the evidence, and start studying it.

Once is usually enough for small tasks that do not necessarily require more effort, such as well-timed workings (Necronomicon meditations come to mind), or in cases where a small effort is enough, such as curses. In almost every other case, however, the procedure has to be repeated over a period of time for it to be permanent and to have an effect in the first place. We usually talk about 40-day cycles because that is the time period for permanence. The spells have to be "refreshed" once in a while, too. Meaning, once you do money magick, for example, the effort carries only so far. This is where the attribute "power" comes to play. More power equals faster and better results when we look at it from this single viewpoint. Other main attributes are awareness and wisdom. All of these are required for the mage to be the best possible version of themselves; otherwise, we have people with dangerous weapons without the ability to use and control such things.
