I followed the 40-day program and then did the full chakra meditations for a while. I took a break from meditations for 1 year. Do I need to open my chakras again?

And can I do the full chakra meditation without the mantra just by breathing energy? I have privacy issues...

Readress this again, yes. Breathing energy is fine, however after breathing energy and finishing your routine, do an extra cleaning on your chakras and aura.
