Purpose of abudctions

Whats the point of the "enemies" abudcting humans?

To the best of my knowledge, enemies abducting humans is done so they can perform certain test. They also create hybrid humans with their own DNA.

I have read that they also "feed" upon our Endocrine glands,...or hormones...I'm a bit foggy but that is a general explanation.

Our government allows these periodic abductions, in exchange for technology.
