You should take it for granted they log anything. No doubt, Protonmail would do that too. The most they can do is "log less" than let's say Google.

There is nothing that can really "protect" in regards to e-mails especially. The only thing that is possibly a valid statement from Protonmail, is that it encrypts Protonmail to Protonmail.

Express VPN as another also commented has been bought by Israel.

When you sit on a computer, you must assume that all info can be seen. Also, it is doubtful anyone would have to worry about anything [this happens everywhere at this point], if you don't do anything illegal.

The activists there, were Communists and other news say they had engaged into all sorts of weird shit such as occupying private properties. This appears to be way further than simply "Protonmail doxxed poor activist". But one could easily assume that Protonmail would even do that too, simply because one can never be 100% sure.

You can simply `block` their attempts by using Tor, so they won't know your IP, or even better if you use Tor together with a VPN which is far better and safer than using Tor alone.

I didnt know they where communist. And makes sense to catch criminals. I just worry when they start calling us law abiding citizens criminals. Im in a paranoid mindset right now. I hate this dystopian 1984 we are getting close too. I'll just do best to focus on my advancement and Rituals.

If you want a private e-mail or a vpn, you have to create it yourself. Even then, it is connected to internet so there are risks.

Yeah i always have my vpn going or am using tor. It just bothered me more than usual and made a post i probably didnt need too.

It is very useful for those who have been using protonmail without a vpn or tor. Hopefully members doing this saw your message and will take measures to prevent in the future. In my opinion a good VPN + Tor together is the best combination as they offset each other's privacy and anonimity issues.
