Prepping and World Economies.

I am not Clergy and I won't give any real opinions on buying or selling these metals from a financial perspective

Most major banks now that they are aware markets move towards these metals in times of uncertainty like to manipulate these markets a lot. Of course in the long run these might be great but so can be a piece of land, an investment in education (of the same amount ofc) towards fields that are likely to grow a lot in the coming decades

What would matter most to you is something that give YOU a good return on YOUR investment. If you buy precious metals for example you might be able to get a 50% return this return however will always be based on your present investment. An investment in yourself will allow you to grow this base in the future with which you will be able to make more informed decisions in the future

Times of uncertainty in terms of war, financial slowdowns, geopolitical tensions will always stay there till the end of your life. Economies work in cycles of great economic growth, slowdown and then go towards a growth percentage that might not even meet the inflation

What you can control is the value you provide to the world. In every stage of war or economic slowdowns there have always been industries which grow. With the world going more virtual, the world is your oyster if your skills allow it. There are different kinds of products in the markets defined in economics, in times of extreme uncertainty the premium segment of products is largely unaffected and it is the inferior goods that gain prominence

There are money workings available on ToZ and HoO that you should use to better your decision making in terms of money and wealth. A decision to invest because of an uncertainty might give you temporary returns but the inner self still would remain at the same value

I also trade commodities on a daily basis and I see how these markets are manipulated in the short run. Say you buy gold and then 6 months down the line it is at 80% of the value you bought it at, who would you blame then? It is not the Temple that is manipulating the markets. It is best to come to an understanding of investments on your own and see what opportunities work best for you in your case.

Even in these conditions the internet consumption throughout the world is always rising, bringing in more avenues and fields that didn't exist before or haven't reached its full potential. Jobs like that of an electrician or mechanic, due to supply demand issues have been paying really well as of now, since most people moved towards the IT related jobs in the past decades.

Learn and analyze what situation and decision is best for you, in your country and for your economy. If you study, you will see industries like timber have given exponential returns (something which nobody had predicted) in some nations during time of war in some nations. Study where preference sectors defined in your country's fiscal plan and see which industries are prioritized with incentives to grow (since they are good for the economy in the long run)

The best bet someone can make is a bet on themselves, a bet which grows them in value.

Prepping is a situation that past a point can become pathological. Sufficient preperation is always sound, but you also have people who get into the fear bandwagon and they end up locked and psychologically disabled by the besieging of the news into their mind, which is essentially, terrorism. One is waiting for life to end, for the world to end, every single day, they behave as if they are dead already (before any advent arrives). Prepping on maximal levels is simply fear disguised as "foresight", paralyzing fear, which shows past a point not preparation or foresight, but cowardice disguised as "preparation".

Be sufficiently able to manage whatever; understand if all the skies fall down chances of survival are slim, and know there is serious risk of living as an ultimate prepper, in the sense that, one might lose their life before they even lost it. Certain cases of ultimate preppers they prepare for 40 years, lose 40 years, and understand by the end they were already dead before any such events.

Do not fall into the coward aspect of this, take what is useful for preparation, but one advice Zevist to Zevists: Only balls and resolve, and a sound mind can save people in detrimental circumstances, not sitting inside a place with a shotgun and waiting with tin boxes to be saved.

People cannot understand it, but there is, for the average citizen, not "enough level of preparation" one can do as a prepper. You can build a farm for 20 years and still 5 bandits can take it overnight in such scenario, and easily, via force.

Listen with measure and don't go down the full addiction line, as many people are delusional for this and addicted, and they don't understand, that if these scenarios happen [for example Nuclear war or whatever] they are already toast; at least most people. Sardine cans don't save you.

Live bravely and let the world do what it will; with mindful preparations, and not ultra paranoia that can ruin one's life.

There are many official recommendations out there, as many governments have issued official guidelines for prepping that are specific for that country/region. These typically recommend having enough resources to be self-sufficient for anywhere between 2-7 days. These are usually not specific to one type of crisis either, but are designed to cover a wide range of situations, from natural disasters all the way to conflicts and so on. You should always check out official guidelines that your authorities might have issued first.

Appreciate the responses. I am well aware of the basic preparations for natural disasters. In regards to the official guidelines released by governments, I understand they do that but I was more aiming it at those in control, the behind the scenes planning to cause an economic collapse. They will not provide us guidelines for that.

I do not plan to live in fear of what ifs, i was curious on fellow Zevist perspectives.
