What is said about revenge is extremely important. I have very often used black magic against those I considered my enemies, but revenge gave me no pleasure whatsoever. Perhaps I would be happier if I could turn my enemies into friends rather than destroy them. And it would be even better if all the energy spent on revenge were channeled into more creative pursuits. I usually prefer to use black magic without the Gods help, but recently, for example, when I did turn to one of the Gods for help, that help came not in the form of revenge but as a creative opportunity one that turned out to be far more satisfying than my enemies’ suffering and I was once again convinced that the gods are infinitely wise such as your words here
