popping sound(third eye)

Hey guys i have been hearing a popping sound in my head while meditating on third eye.
Does that mean that i opened my third eye or am i close(if yes then how much more time on avg will it take to open it)
And how do i know that i have opened my third eye.

PS i started working on third eye chakra first.
Do i need to open my prior chakras before opening my third eye?

I sometimes see a black hair ball thing at night when i wake up randomly and sometimes its a transparent thing but its frequency of me seeing it has been reduced lately almost to nil
