For any workings, it only matters when it was started. If it was started during a void moon, then you must restart it, ideally after 36-48 hours to let the working die. This goes for regular workings, as well as squares, as well as starting new meditations.

However, if you are continuing your working, then it is fine to do it during a void moon. Sometimes, a long void moon would make it impossible to avoid anyway.

It only voids it if you begin the square at that time. That is what matters. It does not matter what sign the moon is in or any other planets or aspects any of that though just the planet your doing the square on. A secret here is it matters when you start it only. Starting this on a good star or conjunct or in aspect too a planet that is friendly to it. Example Moon Jupiter or Venus Saturn or Sun Mars Mercury Uranus and of course the recent Jupiter Neptune etc
