Piracy, Stolen Information, and Leaked Courses

Avatartrissmegistus1 min to read

Hello. This might be a silly question, but I have always wondered about the moral implications and possible consequences on the spiritual plane of downloading movies, games, and similar content from pirate websites, as well as accessing and studying leaked paid courses.

I have noticed that I feel as though I will not be able to absorb anything or benefit from these courses unless I have paid for them. Perhaps this is simply self-suggestion. If so, I would appreciate your reassurance and approval to help me let go of this lingering feeling.

Thank you

You are welcome to ask about the ethical and spiritual aspects of this subject. However, the Temple does not endorse copyright infringement, and we cannot give the approval you are requesting for accessing unauthorized copies.

If cost is an obstacle, consider free resources made available by their creators, open courses, library access, or discounts.

Regarding this, it is a known statistic that people value what they pay for. If you pay for a course, you are more likely to complete it; but if you get something for free, you are less likely to complete it. Money is an exchange, someone or a group of people put their time and energy to create the content or the course, a lot of time and effort went into it and our money is the exchange for it to receive it.

As for your overall question, as SG HiddenWarrior stated, we do not approve of illegal activities.
