overcoming pride??

Hail Father Satan!! if anyone can give me some advice----before coming to Father Satan i was taught that "pride" was a sin, so now everytime i open new chakra or do a meditation that makes me feel good, and i know i am progressing, i am proud that i have achieved what i wanted. now, the only thing is i still have this hang up that "pride" is BAD. but i refuse to give into that, i AM proud that i have come this far. how to overcome this horrible feeling???? plz, any advice from the more expirienced... thank you.

And you should be proud of your achievements, proud of who you are, proud of what you do, etc.! That is the natural human state.

Apart from the xian bullshit about pride, part of the problem is that people so often confuse pride with arrogance and general obnoxiousness. Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, a truly proud person has sufficiently high self-esteem that he/she doesn't need to resort to such negative demonstrations of pride's true opposite.

You should be proud. I know it's easier said than done until you can get rid of all the previous religious hang ups. One method that helped me to get over a lot of the sheeple instinct was doing a daily "cleansing" of the xtian filth from me. Since the "sins" you refer to are connected with the xtian crap, you may want to try the method I used.

HP Carlson wrote an excellent piece called "The Exorcism of Jehovah". (Kudoos to you for that HP Carlson as it has helped me greatly and I keep it under my faves for quick access)

I have included the link for you. Muster up as much hate as you can for the xtian crap and then say the exorcism. It has helped me get over a lot of the old hang ups.
