Ouija Boards ---

Is it better to make my own ouija board or use one given to me by a friend (who is not my friend anymore -cough?

I ask because I have no idea where it's been, who's used it and/or for what purposes, etc etc.. I just feel kinda weird about using it..

Opinions?

If you don't feel comfortable using it use a different one. Might want to trust your instinct on that one.

Youll get more of a response if you make it yourself. Make it out of oak, redwood or pine. You make it personal and get WAY more of a response if you make it yourself.

Carve them in using some kind of engraving tool and make sure that the letters are well spaced apart and very easily readable. You basically shouldnt have them too close together nor too small. Big and well spaced apart.

As far as the design, look up board designs and get ideas from that. You want to make sure that you have the letters in caps across the board, the numbers and the yes and no on it. Other than that, make it your own.

I use paper squares with the letters of the alphabet on and 2 pieces of paper, one that says yes and one that says no and a pendulum as a planchette, is that any different?
