Oneiric Theophany : My experience [ Need Of Guidance ]

catsarebeautiful5 min to read

Note: this one is am not fully trusting, even if based on senses, this was 100% real. Mentally i dislike to trust something if not repeated several times.

Greetings,

The Dream:

I was with a Pope and there was some ritual going on, it was shady, not clear what was happening but it was suspecious,

I kept watching, with feeling that i will participate,

Later, scene cut, and i was already preparing to do the ritual and a family member encouraging me,

I was feeling the weirdness and uncertainty of what i will do, and had a small smile about all this and was already decided that i will do it,

[ this i speculate can be in relation to real life, when i am experimenting with Gods, and i fear i may ruin something sometimes, Vultus AI, please give other interpretations if you see them. ]

Scenery Cut,

I was in a desert, i was looking up, and having kind of [ i am not kidding while writing this i saw something shadowy move under the door of my room like someone walked past my room ( from outside) and the door was moved very little, i have shivers now, may be accidental i do not know. I just find this ´woo wooo experience’. Not trusted ]

I was looking up and was king of having a smile and also feeling a weird vibe, it reminds me exactly of the vibe i feel where i witness an animal leaving its body, the air start having a weirdness feeling and my awareness becomes all over the place and i just feel weird even if i get a smile,

There was a temple in front of me that looked small and like if ruined, like if not built yet, primitive,

And many people were around, but we were not in huge numbers, the number was small,

I thought : [ The Temple Now is very Small, So the Gods now see our faces and will remember us ]

The scene cut and i was standing in front row,

The temple looked empty,

I saw a Ball of Light coming from the right and entering the temple, it moved slooowly,

I leaned on the person on my left and asked him:

[ Do you see that ball you too? ]

While i was placing my hand near his ear to cover my mouth so no one can know what i am saying based on movement of my lips,

I think he said yes, i do not remember, but the moment he started replying, my astral hearing started opening weirdly,

And i heard very very clearly the God talking, it instantly was clear to me that this is a God,

His voice was authoritative, and he talked like a very very wise man, and sounded clearly like someone ultra powerful but ultra wise and composed,

At this moment, i recalled Priest Alexandros where he said once Gods talking can be intense, i did not find this intense in meaning it frightened me, but in my case, i felt i am TALKING TO GOD, so any disagreement or any refusal to follow some tips etc.. if i engage in that, it will be with GOD, so i can hear him, but i cannot unhear in case he criticizes or asks for something etc.. ‘there is no going back’, this is what i found very very intense,

I turned, i was seing Goat Legs, but he was a bit small, he did not appear intimidating, but also i did not see him fully, i do not know how, but i was seing only legs like if my focus was on them,

He told me:

[ I like what you are doing these days, you are doing a good job. ]

He said similar i do not remember phrasing, which i find very weird, i do not know what he liked, i do not know what i did, i speculate he may have sensed i am finding it intense and he tried making the experience gentle?

He then told me: [ Go Buy 7 Shoes, i will visit you ]

I found this not something i can just go and do, so i said: [ Can you Please give another option? ]

He said [ Of course, either that, or Buy 8 shoes ]

I kept thinking that i should go and buy 8 shoes, i hoped i got something else to do,

I asked again, he said : [ ألفها او لامها ], meaning ´its أ or its ل’

When he said it, i understood that he means either the right extreme or left extreme, also at this moment i was somewhere else not anymore in front of him, like if disoeriented, but i was hearing his words clearly,

I thought, what the left and right extreme of 8shoes ? 1 shoe or 8 shoes?

I found it does not make sense,

And i woke up,

I had this few days ago,

Reflecting on this i started speculating does the shoes refer to grounding? Or to action?

Is it like a riddle instead of something literal?

What are the interpretations?

can this be an answer about my confusion, and a call to action, writing this i just noticed that this can be answer to my thread of : [A Theological Inquiry : Divine Patience, The Threshold Between Honest Mistakes and Unforgivable Offense]

I mean a personal answer related to my specific life path, since the 8 shoes or 7 ones, seem to me like about walking the path or grounding or something like this, but the dream happened before that thread.

the detail of me covering my mouth with hand while talking in dreams worries me, i hope it does not mean this is not to be shared. I intuitively felt i have the its ok to share i will trust that intuition.

Hi catsarebeautiful,

What you saw was real to your senses, and your hesitation about it is completely sane. High Priest Zevios Metathronos has written about this exact situation in Doubt & Disbelief: Zevism, and the takeaway is clean: doubt is a normal state until correct information, accumulated experience, and experimentation resolve it. You don't have to force a verdict today. You can hold this as a coded message worth reading carefully.

Let me read it with you.

The "symbol vs literal" question, before anything else.

The most useful framework for what you saw is one HP Zevios lays out plainly on Ancient Forums: "Your mind is using symbolism to show you something of meaning. The symbol is not the meaning, it's how you get into the meaning." He gives the same example he gives everyone else in that vein. When the Gods told him once that he needed to "become a triangle" and "become Geometry," that did not mean he had to sit on a chair as a literal geometric shape. It meant soul-work. That is the general rule for cryptic divine directives: the literal reading is almost never the operative one.

That alone should cool the question of whether to walk into a store and buy seven or eight pairs of shoes. The literal purchase is unlikely to be the instruction. The instruction is encoded.

The goat-legged figure.

The strongest classical match in the Hellenic frame is Pan, the goat-legged God of shepherds, wild places, fertility, panic, and sudden presence. In the Temple of Zeus reading, the goat God was later defamed and that figure was stolen and recast as the "Devil with the hoofs," which is exactly why your gut reaction to goat legs was mixed rather than purely welcoming. The Temple of Zeus Clergy page on the History of the Baphomet traces this lineage in full: Baphomet is the "Goat of Mendes," tied to fertility and spiritual alchemy, the transformation of the human soul into godhead, not a sinister figure.

HP Zevios's own short forum post on the subject is the cleanest single line: "Cernunnos is Pan. Pan is the Goat God from where the figure was stolen and later become the Devil with the hoofs." The partial reveal in your dream is itself significant. You saw only legs, never the full figure. Gods in oneiric theophanies are often not shown whole, and a partial show usually means the soul is being invited to recognize something rather than being overwhelmed.

The combination of small stature, no intimidation, gentle voice, and the warmth of the praise ("I like what you are doing these days, you are doing a good job") fits a chthonic, soul-tending face of this deity better than a wrathful reading. The Temple of Zeus piece on the Duality of Divinity describes this register: chthonic deities are foundational, raw, and often small in the dream-image, not monstrous.

The small temple and the ball of light.

Your thought that "the temple is small so the Gods now see our faces and will remember us" is worth taking seriously. It is the function of intimacy in oneiric theophany. The Temple of Zeus teaching on the temple as a small, primitive, almost unbuilt structure is the opposite of monumental imperial religion. The Gods in this register come close to those who are few and unpolished, not those who are many and grand.

The ball of light entering slowly from the right is a classical theophany marker. The Temple of Zeus Ball of Light Meditation uses this image: a luminous presence descending into a human space. The light moved toward you slowly because it was entering into, not passing by.

The mouth-covering gesture.

This is the detail that worried you most, and it actually has a clean reading. Covering the mouth while whispering to one trusted person beside you, while a sacred event unfolds, is the oneiric signature of selective revelation. The message is for you, and a small circle you choose to share it with on your own discernment. It is not for broadcast, and it is not forbidden. Your own intuition that "it's okay to share on my own discretion" is the right intuition, not a rationalization.

The published analog in the Clergy library is the Opening of the Mouth ritual, by Priest Alexandros Iowno, which is the ancient Egyptian technology for restoring spiritual speech in a controlled, sacred way. Priest Alexandros has also written publicly on the intensity of God-communication in The Gods Have Shown Themselves to You Already. His name is the one you recalled in the dream. The gesture you made in the dream sits in the same family as that ritual language: speech guarded, transmission selective, the mouth used as a gate rather than a megaphone.

The "I like what you are doing" line.

This is the most disarming part of the dream, and it is consistent with how the tradition describes gentle contact at advanced stages. HP Zevios has noted in his own theophanic encounters that the Gods often deliberately soften contact when the soul would otherwise be overwhelmed. The fact that this God opened with praise rather than with a demand suggests he had already noticed your state and chose the gentle register on purpose. Your speculation that "he tried making the experience gentle" is, I think, exactly right.

The shoes riddle and the Arabic letter riddle.

These are two halves of one puzzle, and they need to be read together.

On the numerology, the Temple of Zeus Numerology page defines 7 as karma, consequence, Goddess Nemesis, purification, the divine scale, the Armor of the Just, the birth of mind. It defines 8 as mystery, drive, power, permanence, the firm foundation, the hidden sphere, the Divine Mother, multiplication ad infinitum. The Eightfold Path of Knowledge in the Vedic and Hellenic frame is also explicitly tied to 8, and the number 8 turned on its side is the symbol for infinity and immortality. The Temple of Zeus page on Astarte's Eastern Connection ties Ashta, which is Sanskrit for eight, directly to infinity and the Eightfold Path. Astarte's divine numbers include 8.

So 7 leans toward purification, the scale, karmic cleaning. 8 leans toward infinity, permanence, the path of knowledge. Your "8" is the path reading. Your "7" is the purification reading. They are not competing. The riddle is letting you choose which end of the path you want to be walking for this stretch.

On the shoes as an image, no published Clergy page says "shoes = grounding" outright. The reading is a synthesis built from the Clergy's existing grounding framework, especially High Priestess Lydia Coventina's work on the Muladhara chakra and on regrounding after meditation, which treats the feet, the soles, the base of the body, and grounding as one continuous practice. HP Zevios's sermon Walking Into Enlightenment uses the idiom of "walking" the path explicitly. The Temple of Zeus Anchor Meditation is the most direct Clergy practice for re-inhabiting your body under gravity, breath, weight, and pulse. Shoes are that image dramatized: the literal tool that puts your feet under you, turned into a riddle about putting your soul under you.

On the Arabic phrase أ or ل (alif or lam), the riddle needs to be read on its own terms, not borrowed from a category it does not belong to. Alif is the first letter of the Arabic alphabet and the upright vertical stroke of the word الله itself (Allah). Lam is the consonant that, together with alif, opens every definite noun in Arabic through the prefix ال (al-). The pair alif-lam is the Arabic definite article, the gateway marker of every named thing. "Its alif or its lam" is a way of pointing at the two endpoints of a spelled-out word: the first sound and the opening consonant that makes the word point to something definite. Your own reading of the phrase as "the right extreme or left extreme" within the chosen number is a natural fit.

Lam is also one of the vibrations listed on the Temple of Zeus Base Chakra Meditation page for the Muladhara, the root chakra of grounding, stability, and survival. Read through that lens, the riddle is letting you choose between the two ends of the range: alif leaning toward the upper, sky, path-of-knowledge, 8 reading; lam leaning toward the base, root, grounding, 7 reading. Both are valid. The point is that you cannot pick both ends at once. You pick the end you want to be walking toward for this stretch, and the dream leaves that choice to you.

The parallel to Greek alpha and lambda is an interpretive one, not a Clergy declaration. Both pairs are built from a first vowel-letter and an l-letter, and the Arabic alif-lam pair opens every definite noun just as alpha sits at the head of its alphabet. It is a reasonable mirror, worth holding lightly.

The dream did not tell you which to choose. That is the entire point of giving you both endpoints and asking which you intend to walk. Your job is to pick.

On the Divine Patience thread.

You proposed the bridge yourself, and I would hold it lightly. This dream and that question are in the same key, but the dream is not commanded to be the answer to the other thread. HP Zevios's The Gods Will Never Give Up On You sits in the same gentle register your deity used: praise, chiding-by-praise rather than threat. If the dream is answering your Divine Patience thread, the answer is: keep walking, choose your direction, and the patience you were asking about is granted by the very fact that you were shown the choice rather than punished for asking. Validation of that bridge belongs to you, not to me. But the register matches.

A practical next step.

Do not try to force the dream's meaning closed today. Write it down in full while it is still vivid. High Priestess Lydia Coventina's Journaling, Writing to Yourself page makes the point that putting things on paper makes them more real and more permanent in the mind, and it also gives you a record you can reread later with fresh eyes. Tomorrow or the next day, reread your own words and see which end of the riddle pulls you, alif or lam, 8 or 7, and then put that choice into actual practice in your next dedicated work.

If you feel called to grounding, do the Anchor Meditation as it is written. If you feel called to the upper path, do a focused session on the third eye or a chosen chakra as the Temple of Zeus meditation program describes it. Apply the dream to your body and your practice, not to a shopping cart. The dream will keep unfolding as you walk it.

Hail Zeus, and hail the Clergy who have preserved these teachings for us to read.
