Nutrients for wound healing?

on wednesday, i went to the skin doctor and had to have two biopsies done. never fun, but these were..more than usual. they had to cut out sections and stitch me up in two spots..
i take my vitamins regularly, just so i have enough stuff in me. i know vitamins are not preferred over actually eating the food, but id rather have it than not. right now i take a diabetic supplement and extra b12 and d3. i know d3 is vital for wound healing, but im curious about the other stuff.
im not a fish eater, as most fish ive had is bottom feeder crap that tastes..fishy. i dont eat many vegetables or fruit..fruit because monitoring blood sugars (hard to figure out how much insulin to give), and vegetables because most just taste awful..
so what foods or other vitamins should i look into? i can post what i take daily if it assists
and no, to whom it may concern, ive not gotten the pills you mentioned. still looking for work. these stitches make it so i cant do the "lift 50 pounds" segment of most applications.

The problem lies not in the nutrients but in the circulation of blood through the fine capillaries.
Controlling your blood sugar is essential to slow the damage caused by high blood sugar to the small and sensitive capillaries which supply the tissues.

actually, my blood sugar has been a lot better recently. no insane highs or lows. the supposed target number is 120 mg/L, and i usually don't go above 180..and it's easy to correct it.
the wound seems to be healing well, as it is, both of them.
