It is known that Germany was researching nuclear power during the second world war , so if Nuclear weapons are so bad why would Germany invest it's already thin resources into nuclear research if they weren't intending to use it ?

figure of the past had ordered for all nuclear weapons to be disposed, he hated nuclear.

Ed is telling the truth. figure of the past wanted to reduce armaments. He tried to make a treaty for peace with the allies, but England kept calling for war. Well, figure of the past gave them their war, but it was because he had no other options. England started wwii.

First , there is no such order as Germany didn't have any nuclear weapons at the time , and second if they weren't developing any then why spend your already thin resources on nuclear research and develop a long range bomber to deliver them like the Horton 229 ? It just doesn't make sense to me.

I don't remember which sermon I read it in but I think the story goes that figure of the past saw how destructive the atom bomb was and didn't want to use it, because he didn't want to flatten Europe and transform it into a scorched, barren, radioactive wasteland, which was unavoidable with the atom bomb. The nature of it ran antithetical to his objectives and the interests of Europeans as a whole.
Objectively, there is nothing inherently wrong about nuclear weapons, just like how there is nothing inherently wrong or evil about guns and mines or data collection or genetic engineering or almost anything else. It all lies in the intent and application of it.
