So November 20 2012 is a good time to do the mars mantra. I was wondering what are some good suggestions for affirmations for this? I'm not sure what to do it for.

I think vitality, Health, Sexuality are some things you can do it for.

Any suggestions on this would be appreciated. :)

When you are doing the spiritual square you need not say anything. Just vibrate it. No affirmations. Affirmations and programming the energy comes when do the material squares.

I have to dissagree here. Just raising the energy and doing nothing with it, sending it for a purpose, programming it, is just a waste of time. If you're looking for something to improve, a good affirmation would be 'The energy of the Mars Square is in a positive way for me empowering my willpower' or 'The energy of the Mars Square is in a positive way for me empowering my immune system and healing mechanisms' [since the immune system is constantly at a 'war' with all these bacteria and stuff, health is the number one thing one needs]. These are my two cents for this.

So what you are saying is, just doing a Square and the Mantra for the days required, will achieve nothing is you don't use an affirmation?

The reason I ask is because I have done the Square for the Sun, Venus, and Saturn. But I never used any kind of affirmation for the working. I was under the assumption that the Energy was doing it all for me, Programming my Chakras.

I will make sure to use an affirmation this time.

I just want to ask, where and how this not affirming started? Did HP Maxine say this anywhere? I think its known and basic that we need to say an affirmation to direct the energy. Or else it is raised and just that. I don't think energy is supposed to know what you intend it to do.

I would say then this applies to both Spiritual and Material, though there is no specification as to affirm or not. Nevertheless the energy is being raised, in the chakra of the Square, so I don't know for 1000% sure. I would definitely, make the affirmation in the end. I mean why not? And I would really like to know where this not affirming came from. If its assumption or fact, or some thought that was followed. Again as I said, better be safe and sure than sorry. Its a law that energy has to be programmed, I always programm the energy I raise, since it cannot reason on its own. Unless the energy is willed on something and directed, then if you just raise it without programming, then what? Hope I didn't get misunderstood but I think there is a misconception going on here.

The spiritual working is for general spiritual advancement or health, or it's used for chakras or strengthening that planet, it's not directed specifically for something. Think of just invoking the energy of the planet, that's what the spiritual working does. Just like you vibrate a mantra for a specific chakra for example, say THOTH. Do you program it? Do you say "the energy from thoth mantra activates my 3rd eye"? Of course not it doesn't need that.

So if it needed an affirmation on all squares, do you think it would say "When you are finished with the vibration, it is important to direct the energy you raised by stating an affirmation several times while visualizing your goal in the present reality and present tense. ""?? Without the "material goals" part.

Of course the part about the material goals is extra added and just typing more, if you mean affirmations in ALL of them you surely don't need to include that at all.

Again like I said if that affirmation part applied for both spiritual and material then the part "if you are working on tangible prosperity [non-spiritual] goals" wouldn't be there at all. It would just simply state "when you're finished with the squares do the affirmation". It wouldn't need an "if" to clarify that.

The other page you quote is about MAGICK and the spiritual working isn't "magick" the same way as you do a material working. Because it just strengthens the planet's influence in general, like I said. It's more like empowering a chakra. You don't do that for a specific outcome.

The reason I ask is because I have done the Square for the Sun, Venus, and Saturn. But I never used any kind of affirmation for the working. I was under the assumption that the Energy was doing it all for me, Programming my Chakras.

Thank you hoodedcobra. That makes a ton of since. Energy doesn't have a mind of it's own, you do have to program it, or at least direct it. I will make Sure to use a powerful affirmation on the Mars Square. I want results otherwise I am just chanting on a daily basis for good practice achieving nothing.

I did the Sun square and the Saturn square for Spiritual empowerment, and Venus for Material success. I did the Saturn square a long time ago (April 2011?) , I really felt it in my Base, then everything materially, and psychologically got very difficult for me. I should have known more about Astrology before I did this working.

Like you said with the Thoth Mantra, it will empower the Chakra without the need for an affirmation. This is why I didn't use any affirmation. That was really stupid of me to do the Venus Square for Money during that special transit and not use a single affirmation! But you know, it does me No Good to live in the past or have regrets about things I can't change. Just have got to move on, Learn from this experience and do better next time.

  I can tell you I've done the squares many times without an affirmation and my chakras get overloaded with energy of that planet and empowerment. You don't need an affirmation for chakras. Just like you don't need an affirmation to use THOTH to empower your 6th chakras.

UNLESS you want to program your chakras for a SPECIFIC purpose, in that way you use the material one. Generally as a rule the Spiritual square is general while the material is specific. The spiritual one just strengthens the planet's influence.

As with anything you have to filter information using your common sense, and your own experience. Your experience. While its not mandatory to use an information, as Fire_Starter pointed out, I cannot see why not. All this acting like it really strange. Or if its not that, well alright I didn't say to stab yourself on the head with a knife, I just said I do not agree but certainly I didn't specify it. To make matters clear here.

MY experience with the squares, told me that an affirmation wouldn't hurt. I programm energy I raise even in meditation, so I can be sure. You may not feel like you need to do this, absolutely fine. I understand this is how Magick works and it wasn't written in meditation or under the meditations tab. Obviously I found this under the Magick section, so I know it has to do with this. As far as experience goes, I have found better results, personally, by affirming in the end - even with meditations.

Since there are specifications of Health and Empowerment [Spiritual], I think one needs direct these, which one it would be. If its assumed that empower will bring the healing, then hands up. Healing is obviously a specification, a working too and its on the Spiritual section. So yea it gets really messed up, I will just say fine, whatever one feels and has experienced. Obviously I didn't post a dogma and I'm always open for discussions and corrections, given there is a reason.

The reason I ask is because I have done the Square for the Sun, Venus, and Saturn. But I never used any kind of affirmation for the working. I was under the assumption that the Energy was doing it all for me, Programming my Chakras.

I will make sure to use an affirmation this time.

If you're looking for something to improve, a good affirmation would be 'The energy of the Mars Square is in a positive way for me empowering my willpower' or 'The energy of the Mars Square is in a positive way for me empowering my immune system and healing mechanisms' [since the immune system is constantly at a 'war' with all these bacteria and stuff, health is the number one thing one needs]. These are my two cents for this.

Obviously I didn't post a dogma and I'm always open for discussions and corrections, given there is a reason.

I just want to ask, where and how this not affirming started? Did HP Maxine say this anywhere? I think its known and basic that we need to say an affirmation to direct the energy. Or else it is raised and just that. I don't think energy is supposed to know what you intend it to do.

I agree with Fire_starter. When the spiritual is vibrated its energy is being invoked into the soul so I sit there and feel the energy already even when I am focusing on my astro houses I can feel my chakra increasing in energy. If the spiritual square is vibrated it is empowering your chakra, the houses it influences and it helps or heals with the specific illnesses related to that.That's why it is vibrated into certain sequences and different repititions.It only says to use an affirmation for the spiritual so I assume there is no need for an affirmation for the spiritual. When you look at the squares page it Is mention that when vibrated the spiritual square strengthens the chakra, strengthens the planets influence and helps in the affairs of the planetary houses.But I understand if an affirmation wants to be used but Its not as neccessary as when using the material square.

For healing that would be the mars square physical not spiritual.The squares(spiritual) are different from the basic 3 step magick rules.It is for in general and if you needed an affirmation for both then it would say "When you are finished with the squares use an affirmation" NOT "When you are finished with the vibration, if you are working on tangible prosperity [non-spiritual] goals, it is important to direct the energy you raised by stating an affirmation several times while visualizing your goal in the present reality and present tense. "

Hoodedcobra I know what you meant as well. My SS friend said that her sacral chakra is strong enough so when she does the Mars square spiritual she tries to make an affirmation for the spiritual to direct it more to her astro houses.

I would say then this applies to both Spiritual and Material, though there is no specification as to affirm or not. Nevertheless the energy is being raised, in the chakra of the Square, so I don't know for 1000% sure. I would definitely, make the affirmation in the end. I mean why not? I don't use affirmations for the squares. Unless your doing the physical one, I wouldn't use one.

I just got done with a mars working and i affirmed that the energy was continuously gathering me the strenth, dicipline, and energy to fight for father satan and empower myself. since then, my affirmation have been coming to life.

If the spiritual square is vibrated it is empowering your chakra, the houses it influences and it helps or heals with the specific illnesses related to that.That's why it is vibrated into certain sequences and different repititions.It only says to use an affirmation for the spiritual so I assume there is no need for an affirmation for the spiritual. When you look at the squares page it Is mention that when vibrated the spiritual square strengthens the chakra, strengthens the planets influence and helps in the affairs of the planetary houses.But I understand if an affirmation wants to be used but Its not as neccessary as when using the material square.

I just want to ask, where and how this not affirming started? Did HP Maxine say this anywhere? I think its known and basic that we need to say an affirmation to direct the energy. Or else it is raised and just that. I don't think energy is supposed to know what you intend it to do.

I would say then this applies to both Spiritual and Material, though there is no specification as to affirm or not. Nevertheless the energy is being raised, in the chakra of the Square, so I don't know for 1000% sure. I would definitely, make the affirmation in the end. I mean why not? Raising the energy and just that seems somewhat strange.

So well, if you felt it worked, then it worked, though this is my opinion and I don't - personally- think a mantra has to be done without an affirmation in the end. But anyone should go by what they feel. I'd better be safe than sorry and if you find any statements of HP Maxine or other HP's, OR if it worked for you, disregard this and don't doubt your working(s).

The reason I ask is because I have done the Square for the Sun, Venus, and Saturn. But I never used any kind of affirmation for the working. I was under the assumption that the Energy was doing it all for me, Programming my Chakras.

I have to dissagree here. Just raising the energy and doing nothing with it, sending it for a purpose, programming it, is just a waste of time. If you're looking for something to improve, a good affirmation would be 'The energy of the Mars Square is in a positive way for me empowering my willpower' or 'The energy of the Mars Square is in a positive way for me empowering my immune system and healing mechanisms' [since the immune system is constantly at a 'war' with all these bacteria and stuff, health is the number one thing one needs]. These are my two cents for this.

For example, I'd like to give emphasis to power (both physical and spiritual), energy and being able to complete all my goals and ambitions.
So, after vibrating the mantra, I say the affirmation that includes all of the above and then visualize it happening?
