Newbie from London

Hello All,

I am new to following Satan, so have a few questions for you experienced members.

Having read quite a lot/most of the information available on the Joy of Satan website, I have made a dedication of my soul as far as possible, in that I have hand written out the pledge and signed in blood and burned the letter partially. I did not have the other items for the ritual (candles, etc) as I cannot afford to buy these. Will this make a difference to my dedication and do I need to wait until such time as I will be able to collect all of the items and carry out the ritual again?

I have been brought up/brainwashed by a false religion for 39 years, and having found the true path now in Satanism, although still having some urgent problems to deal with, feel so much more at peace inside. I know now that this is the way I need to go. Never before have I had such an interest in reading, but I am totally eating up the information on the website.

Anyway, if you have any advice and info you can offer me, I would be very grateful.

If you cannot get candles, just do the ritual on the astral. There is a link on the dedication page.But I think it's possible to buy candles. At the dollar store I sometimes get 2 for $1, and they are decent. They don't stink or anything, but they burn quickly to a stub by an hour.I am sure you can find some in Chinatown or the dollar store. Most single ones, (tall or stubby short ones) are less then a dollar each. They shouldn't be that much where you are.You can find an aluminum bowl at the dollar store also, that's where I get mine, and I burn all prayers in it. Not all the darkness washes off (from the burning) but it does the job.
