It is hard to do void meditation at first. For me, I started by doing the hatha yoga routine and I still do it everyday. It helps I think because you focus on the postures and it helps to get you into a meditative state. This is also true for the breathing exercises. When you find your mind wandering, just try to clear it again, over and over. At first you may only be able to do it for a min or two. As you get better you will be able to do it for longer. Some days are gonna be harder and some easier.
Also, yes you should do at least some meditation Id say before summoning a Demon. Just be persistent and keep trying. Its something you have to practice to get good at.
Doing exercise like running, or lifting weights can help you clear your mind also and this can make it easier to meditate. Also, like it says on Joy of Satan, you’’ll probably have emotions surface during or after meditation. So sometimes, Ive had this, you may feel very frustrated, sad or something but think of it as good that your facing them.

Hey guys, I'm new to satanism and so far I love what I have read on the JoS website. Like I said in the subject line, I'm a recovering addict. I only have 61 days clean from meth. I am sick of what that drug has done to me. I want to further my spirituality with Satan, SOBER. I am having a hard time meditating. I try, and my mind keeps getting distracted very easily. Is there anyone that has any tips on how to break through this? Also, I saw on the JoS website that there are demons to help with drug addiction. However, I have yet to open up my mind to tune in to telepathy. Should I wait before I get the meditation down and open up the telepathy before I summon a demon to help me with my cravings?
